I set my alarm for 3am this morning. That was sooo much better than attempting to stay awake all night long! I'm very tired now tho!

Every time I log onto my favs list things are sold out so someone is buying at 50%. Before long the favs will be empty.
  • I went to Lakeside today, and there is definitely more sale stock than last week, which makes me think they might be receiving stuff from smaller branches. Some of the £15 No7 brush sets, were marked with a handwritten label "£3.75 - brush missing". They didn't mention that the 250 points voucher was also missing. :(

I spoke to one lovely SA, who was tidying the displays, and asked if she was looking forward to the Rugby Scrum of the 75% sale, to which she replied "I hope I'm off that day, it's awful". When asked if she knew when that was, she said it would be up to the Manager, but they were running out of shelf space!

I think Boots might have shot themselves in the foot, cos I've found myself taking stuff out my virtual basket (do I really want the No 7 bag at £6.25 when there's just a packet of wipes and some sample size items? I can get the wipes for £1.80 with the current voucher), and I've had longer to think about Martin's mantra. ;)

Consoled myself by going into Hotel Chocolat, where I was the only "customer", had 2 sample choccies, then bought an £11.30 Christmas box of dark choccies, reduced, by 80%, to £2.26. :j They were gorgeous!

    xx
  • ok, so I went to my local store which is a smallish Boots in Rayleigh, Essex and they have one complete aisle filled with 50% sale stock not nearly as much as last year because at this time last year there were two and a half aisles filled with 50% stock. We spoke with a SA this morning and she said she didn't think it would happen because the stocks were so low and because of the weather situation at Christmas half the stock never got to where it was supposed to be. Then I ventured into the Southend branch at lunchtime and they have less stock than the Rayleigh branch so I guess if it happens it will be a quick one and if it doesn't I will be happier and have pennies to spend elsewhere!!!

I think its clear now that the SA's are spinning any old yarn and to take it with a pich of salt. You can see from other posts, the info contradicts what others have been told.
As i have already said, my OH has told me they have had point of sale material in and a manager has told her it will happen but they dont know when. As i said yesterday, she saw on Boots storenet it is showing as TBC.

  • Which is better? :) or ;)

There's only one way to find out. FIGHT!
