Stuff that I want is slowly getting sold out; Noticed this with the wrist watches, all went out of stock at the same time and now the 2 sanctuary sets they had yesterday - sold out.0

So please think of the poor SA as you rush to get a bargain and I am just as keen as getting a bargain as the next person. People just seem to lose any manners or control.
How rude!! If that happened where I work my manager would frog march said customer out of the shop and issue him/her with a twelve month ban. If they tried to get back in, she'd have them banned from the whole shopping center.
Physical abuse of staff should NEVER be tolerated in ANY circumstances.0 -
i dont understand why boots keep it so close to their chest about the sale.. you would think they would want rid of the stick as soon as to stock for spring/summer.. I love their sale and have spent in half price and will in 75%.. just wish they would let their valued customers know..0

I have just come back from Derby Westfield. Still quite a bit there, mostly stuff that no-one wants (chocs/Gok/Fearne/Strictly). Some hair packs (Charles Worthington, lee Stafford etc), some No 7 (brush sets and I think some small compacts), Sex and The City compacts, some toys, Baileys mixers, Campbells soup mugs, wrapping paper, Ruby and Millie, Elle, Jamie Oliver mugs, lots of the eco-stuff...most of it I would only buy though if it was 75%, not because I want it enough to pay 50%.
I did get lucky though, as there was a guy marking stuff down in the Clearance section, and I got a battered triple pack of S&G lipgloss for 50p, plus loads of top brand hair products without lids for 30p each
I asked him if this was the famous 75% off sale (acting dumb) and he said no, that was next week or the week after. He did look round to see if anyone heard him while he was telling me this, which makes me think it is still going to happen but they like to keep it quiet. Please God, help me stop spending!0 -
Just wondered does anyone know if you buy the products you want at 50% off and wait for a week or so if the 75% sale starts can you take them back and re-buy them ?0

It seems the reason they are not letting people know is that Martin put it in his email last year which may have led people to hold off buying items that they would have bought at 50% otherwise and they are trying to prevent that happening again.
They delayed the sale last year due to the snow causing people to not want to brave the shops, I would assume that they didn't make the profit they had expected and blame MSE.
I wonder if they are cancelling sale dates last minute to try and ruin Martin's reputation and credibility if he chose to put it in the newsletter?
Either way I'm not going to get too hyped up about it (I did alright in the clearance), Boots have been using cunning tactics to get our money more so recently by overpicing, changing prices when offers are on etc. I hate to say it but I am fast becoming less keen on Boots and as an MSE'r I'm sure the feeling is mutual on their behalf.
Comping wishlist for 2017
1. Family holiday 2. Christmas presents :rudolf: 3. Fishing stuffThe more you put into life, the more you get out0 -

I entirely agree to the point that i'm kind of hoping it won't happen now! Looking forward to putting the money back into the bank, lol.:T0 -
I grabbed some great bargains amazon boxing day sale and M&S last week ,so I don't need quite as much from Boots this year. I certainly wont be buying at 50% as other posters have said not enough of a bargain for me.
so WHY I am so stressed about the bloomin 75% sale I know it is not happening today but I get anxious if I don't read this thread every few minutes
my name is FFB and I am a Bootsaholic.........help0 -
