Boots 75% off sale - possible date

Not happening in Reading today. I phoned the Broad Street branch at 8.01 and a lovely girl told me it wasn't happening today, and it would be later. I asked if it was next week, she said, it could be and to ring back then ........................ so next Wednesday ? Or is Mr Boots being crafty and going to totally surprise us and do it tomorrow or Friday (or even next Monday). The suspense is killing me, I usually get all my years birthdays, etc sorted in the 75% sale. Has anyone been to the Oracle branch in Reading ? What have the SA's in there said ? Thanks !

Not on in boots in Chesterfield or in Swindon where my sister lives!

Just been in Sauchiehall st in glasgow, nowt there either, I asked a SA, they said the same old same old, no idea if or when it will be on

Some shoppers in Lincoln were telling an SA that it was definitely today, cos it was on 'the Boots forum'. She thought they meant the Boots website; I eavesdropped for long enough to discover that it's this site they were quoting as gospel.

Don't get me wrong - I'm as impatient and addicted as anyone, but I think next year we should keep our heads down, rather than phoning stores and Head Office.

I rang my local store at 8.30 am and was told that the staff are only being told the day before and they are not to tell customers when it is once they know. I asked if I rang next tuesday and ask if its tomorrow if they would tell me and she said no we arent allowed to tell anyone its to prevent the problems last year.

The Boots sale is NOT on in MANCHESTER as i was there bright and early at the cheetham hill store, and the sales staff will not tell us as they either do not know themselves or the head office are keeping it hush hush as with evey company does regarding sale,as i work in matalan and we are told not to tell customers even though the stock is highlighted with indicates it is going in to the sale (dur):doh: unfortunetly this is not the case and the only thing we can do is keep checking! Most likely this week or next theres no snow so it shouldnt be delayed. :idea:The only other thing is that there is a huge conspiracy against us to stop us from getting our beloved bargains so the greedy SAs and Managers can have all the goods for themselves END OF!
