Yes, just phoned this morning.
Woman said that arranged call back - I had acted surprised when got clode finance not support and she said the support team are not taking inbound calls!!!!!! (... I'll leave other wiser people to explain to me how you can do support without inbound calls ...)
I expected her to ask for my telephone contact number, so I enquired whether they had my number - she said yes but didn't bother to even repeat them to confirm. So I'm not convinced.
Said I want to be released and want my mac code - otherwise I would commence legal proceedings...
She said she cannot deal and I have to wait for call back - hope they phone in the evening when I'm back from work as I don't see how they intend to communicate.
I'll report back....
P.S. from hence forth if I enter into any finance for anything I'm going to double check it isn't with Clode because if I see any sign of them I am going to cancel the sale and walk out immediately.
I have just been in contract with NJP Services and they inform me that they are totally pulling the plug on redten. So after the 12th of this month you wont even need a MAC code. There will be nothing there.0 -
I called them at 9:30 this morning then again this PM (they seemed not really convincing about having my details this morning) - gave them my mobile number this time.
Just been phoned back and have been released and can keep equipment. When I mentioned that they would have taken the monthly DD about the 5th she seemed confused and seems not to realise I have paid for this months internet....
She said there would be a page available tonight giving the option to get my MAC code or to stay with the current ISP Breathe (who?!?! since when?!?!? as if!!!!!!!)
not sure what your comment about NO MAC code means -its the 12th today. Hope I don't have to pay an extra connection fee with another supplier.0 -
:j I too got the call last night telling me I was free of my contract and that I can keep the equipment. I still had 11 months to run...cool
The only problem I have is I cannot find any details to Breathe isp. so I can get my MAC code.......Any Ideas people?0 -
I have just been on the phone to NJP - now called Breathe - and on their website they had a good broadband deal for £16,95 pm no annual contract, so i just signed straight up! So if you are going to get your Mac call NJP 0781 424 0185:T tonight all i have to do is reset my router and i will be good to go!0

Hi
the lady who called me told me that I would see a screen which gave the option to get my MAC code or sign up with Breathe (who are they?) that night (yesterday).
Tried last night - but got nothing. I try again tonight.
Quick google search brought back this http://breatheinternet.com/about_breathe
However, I find the blurb less than impressive - beginning by describing how they got into financial problems and went bust previously!!0 -
I just tried number quoted for Breathe and it is dead0
-
Clode called me back and said that Redten is no more. I pointed out that I had paid for three years until Feb 2010.
They will see if they owe me any money!!! Bet I will get to keep PC instead!!!
Goodbye and thanks for all the fish!!!

Breathe? They own FAST4 & NJP Services - they bought them in June last year, and retained the management http://www.ispreview.co.uk/news/EkEkyluFlABvuQLPgf.html
Breathe Networks Limited (BNL) has acquired small UK ISP Fast4 for an undisclosed sum as part of a merger with NJP Services Limited. As a result, NJP’s directors, Steve Kaye and Nick Pulsford, will become Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technical Officer of BNL respectively, taking over responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the combined company0 -
Tried their website last night and after three pages (guys you ought to get a proof reader!!)
The MAC code utility failed - surprise!!!
(You see what they are claimimg on the front page!)0 -
Phoned Breathe and basically they claimed they had placed a cease order last week on all our accounts and that is why cannot give a MAC code.
Strange - why was the web page only made available last night (complete with spelling mistakes) and gave the option of getting MAC code? Why weren't we told we were being disconnected?
Why the option available to the 15th?
I think OFCOM ought to be told.
Can anyone give me a convincing reason why I would sign up with Breathe?0
