Just fired off this reply to Redten, in response to their feeble attempt at placating us with a bulk e-mail to all complainants, I am assuming that this is to soften us up for the announcement that

"Due to our customers concerns Redten have now managed to reach agreement with "whoever" to resume the unlimited broadband access that was temporarily suspended, due to BT Wholesales irresponsible withdrawal of the backbone service to Redten. We deeply regret this slight setback in the service, and trust it has not caused you too much inconvenience".

How am I doing up to now? are we all convinced?

Of course we are just like the voters in Crewe and Nantwich

Anyway my reply below,


Your response has not been delayed, my requests for a Mac code have been completely ignored, I have now sent you some 30 requests for a Mac code since April 2nd, which basically equates to 1 per working day, so to state this as a delay is like saying Hitler was a little naughty at times.

As far as you taking our concerns very seriously, I somehow find that extremely difficult to believe, if you had been taking them seriously, you would have released my Mac code within the 5 working days as required by OFCOM, and released me from the contract you breached.

Therefore please give me my Mac code and release me from the contract and I will take you seriously.

forgive me if I am wrong but does this mean the service is back to unlimited therefore there is nothing anyone can do to migrate as they have put back in place the t&c:eek: I thought paying clode of (£402 ) was a gamble as if redscum went pop I could have been released for free.

It looks like I took the right option as I could not stand being with these clowns for another two and a half year... FATTW*T COMMUNICATIONS.....ha what a joke! are they deliberately winding us up by choosing a name like that.

The service may be back to unlimited but the speed is a joke I was getting better speeds 5 year ago. I feel for the people left as I was sure you were going to get out of this mess shortly, it now looks like clode have moved the goal posts ....AGAIN!!!:mad:

To me this is starting to look like this was all a scam from the beginning with clode redscum & njp all in on it, as now clode have a nice new little business and redscum have offloaded a load of out of date hardware. How these people sleep at night.....they have the morals of an alley cat....cat hold on thats where the name comes from FATALLEYCAT COMMUNICATIONS would be more appropriate.

I don't believe this whole situation - it just seems to get worse and worse. What I still don't understand is, after 2 months since this whole problem started has no-one intervened? Why is it left to the consumer to sort this mess out?

I still haven't got anywhere and I haven't been supplied by Clode/Redten/whoever since the walled garden back in March, but am yet STILL paying them, stupid I know.

It is just completely disgusting how a company can treat its customers like this - I cannot get over it! UNREGULATED? Surely that's a crime?

Well I think I have just reached another record, overnight i received 150 spam emails . As with others my bandwidth counter has gone but I am getting marginally over 6Mb down speed. I am just not quite sure what to do now

In the event that unlimited is restored do you think they will let me back in for the £12 that they say will buy unlimited ? (only joking honestly)

Just checked my speed it used to be around 6.5 M down currently struggles arouind 2

Mines gone down from 7 to about 2 mbps. I wonder why that may be?

As speed is quoted as up to ? then a drop of about 80% is probably still within the agreement and might make up their costs of unlimited

Mines still the same - just under 500 kb/s - can't wait till wednesday for BE!
Never been over 500 kb/s since redten started.
Feel really sorry for you guys remaining
