Hi Ive just downloaded the free bandwidth monitor from rokario, so to keep eye on my 3 broadband of 3gb, however nothing seems to be happening the icon comes up when i click on it, but there is no incoming or outgoing bit per sec etc!! have i done anything wrong.
    can anyone please help

This is off topic Tony and you haven't supplied enough information, to try and help you, I just downloaded it to a gash PC and unless you've modified some setting on it, then it's just a straight install and once run choose Auto configure or drop list down to show your device, Other than that may I suggest you check your dialup username/password etc
PM me if you want any help but this topic is about A crap ISP named REDTEN

Have you selected the correct network adaptor in the settings? right sclick system tray icon>settings>general then its the first item make sure you click the 3 modem or phone etc rather than your standard connection method.

To the poster above i'd assume tony is using the 3 connection as his redten is complete and utter tripe???

    Thanks Harlzter,

Does anyone really think that I would post all the things I have if I wasn't a Redten customer and I didn't want to help you guys out?

So how exactly did you get out of your redten and clode finance agreement?

Are you one of the ones who got a MAC from the BT wholesale page between 10-17th march or did you get out some other way?

    Please Tell us!

We all know you managed to get out, but how.

I'm going to BT by them doing a "internal house move" they pretend i'm moving house. But I'm still in contract with redten and clode...for the moment that is.....

I'm for sure not paying double.

If redten and clode are still watching this forum. I'll be paying BT 24.99 a month for what your supposed to provide 8mbs UNLIMITED BROADBAND.
  • Guys thanks for your info however i am clueless about computers im using a laptop, and cant find the settings bit can you help

    Hi Hugo
    Want to swap connections?

Used to get around 1000 kb/s but that was last year before redten (Oct 07)with Pipex - think that may have been max with that service. Line checks before I changed suggested 1500-2000kp/s. Did get speeds over 3000 during first few days. Redten did say BT were doing a report - but heard no more dispite several email reminders - never got more than 500 kp/s since.

OK, so anyone got suggestions as to what I should do now?

Redten have refused to accept all my letters to them, Clode and NJP have accepted them just fine, so they at least have a written complaint
with supporting documentation from me prior to 11-4-08 but I don't know how I can ensure that Redten have my complaint.

I just don't trust these Redten cowboys any more after all this bother they've dished out to us and I can see them refusing to accept that I have any sort of complaint against them as they have no written complaint. This stinks
I think I remember reading someone else saying they are legally obliged to accept mail at the address registered with company house which I think is -
Redten Communications Limited, 23 CASTALIA SQUARE, DOCKLANDS, LONDON, E14 3NG
  • I've been reading my Which? mags about people that sue under the Sale of goods Act and Consumer Credit Act. I know for a fact we are all in a good position.

Clode I'd be very worried. Redten it might just be your final nail in the coffin. Imagine 200 small claims court proceedings just in one day, each day, every day for two months.

    Ouch
