If RedTen are still trying to say the PC is what we paid for then they need to check their own prices. This is from Saverstore which came out of the ashes ofWatford Electronics, the original parent company of RedTen,
    http://www.saverstore.com/productinfo/product.aspx?catalog_name=Savastore&product_id=20019566&pid=2&tid=67
PC identical to the "Free" one cost £129.99
    http://www.saverstore.com/productinfo/popup.aspx?catalog_name=Savastore&product_id=20002925
Windows XP which was installed on the PC £55.06
    http://www.saverstore.com/productinfo/Product.aspx?product_id=20010562&rstrat=12729
    19" LG Monitor £125.48

    Total cost £310.53

Cost of litigation and court action PRICELESS

I think £500 was probably a true reflection of the prices they could have charged. The cost has come down, yes, but you have to add in the wireless modem router and usb stick.

Plain and simple route is to stick with the issue of RedTen/Clode failing to honour the original terms of the contract and notifying them asap of your required resolution.

    complaints to the DTI

This is the DTI site for making complaints about any of the above categories of traders who agree to supply one thing and then try to get you to accept another without your agreement. Who advertise something as free and then try to charge you for it. Who are careless with your financial details. Who misrepresnt their offers to induce you or track into buying something which is sunsequently not delivered!!!!! sound familier? Then lodge your complaint; it can even be done anonymously though must of us are happy to put our names to it.

Just pasted my letter to RT complete they can read it and make their own decision

It's such a shame nothing has been said on TV about this horrid situation caused by these unscrupulous money grabbing traders. If something was put out on the news it would make more people aware and hopefully tip the scales.

I had the same problem loaded program called incredimail off internet put in 84.45.23.34 into incoming and mail.redten.net into SMTP and pulled in around a dozen emails, still loads missing but at least it got some. Worth a punt anyway

    Morning All,

First off all I would to thank everyone on the site for all the advice they have posted, I've sent all the letters and emails just waiting to see if any replies turn up.

Does anyone know if March rabbit managed to get his broadband back on line yet? I too had the same problem when I got home from work yesterday, my route is not receiving any broadband signal.

The only thing I changed recently was the login password for my account details on the Fast4 members area, is it possible this could effect my broadband signal as the route isn't receiving one.

    Cadguy
Your members area login password is also your adsl connection password. If you've changed it in your members area you'll also need to change it in your router.

    Hi jaypee638

I have just taken your advice and lo and behold down came two automated responses to tell me it was an acknowledgement of an email I sent via the automated contact point on the 30.3.2008 and a reply would be sent to my account and to log in there, meanwhile would I like to sign up for their £5 for signing up a friend to broad band with free telephone calls to the friends I persuade to sign up.

As there had been no mail at all in my account previous to this, first place I checked after the 19.3.2008 as one would ( never used the redten mail as migrated my old email address ) I eagerly logged on to the site and lo! not accessable --come back in 24 hours.!!!!!!!!

    Says it all really
