Hello Martin,
Many thanks for replying on this topic, I can understand that it's difficult to follow or even attempt to see whats going on on your site from your prospective. The feeling here is that many members attempted to contact you either directly or indirectly through your official forum Abuse Team/Monitoring Team and when no response was forthcoming it was as though the site was being run by a 3rd party using you as a front with you having very little input to its daily running (more of a web presence than anything else), but it is nice to finally hear from you :T
I hope you dont construe my posting below as sniping but this was the excuse given by Edinburghlass for the removal of some of the posts (with it being a private forum), sorry if you took it as a direct attack on you.All the info regarding Directors of Redten, forming an action group to take them on legally etc MSE removed them to prevent poor :money: getting sued.
Numerous attempts had been made to bring this to your attention, I even sent the email below to martin@moneysavingexpert (dot) com on the 21st March and still have not had any acknowledgement but I am aware there's probably a shed load of emails on a daily basisHello,
I know its not Martin that reads these emails but I would be obliged if you could
either pass this onto him or make him aware of the thread on the Forum regarding Redten
Communications Ltd. This is the company that promised a free PC for signing up to 3 years
Broadband service. Redten users have suffered terribly over the past couple of weeks with
lost broadband (no connection for over a week) being cut off bt BT wholesale, switched
provider etc etc. None of the companies involved are willing to say whats happening and
this has left thousands of customers stuck as to what to do. Martins advice and help
would be very much appreciated, whether personally or via the forum.

Thank you very much for any help you can provide.
Its not the point that posts have been removed, you must have reasons for doing it but it can be read at the following post # 1088, 1090, 1102, 1103, 1085, 1163, 1165, & 1166. The main point is that you are now aware of the situation and we would all be grateful if some more light could be shed on the situation, although how you would manage that without being able to phone Redten is beyond me, apart from dispatching a researcher to personally visit their HQ (maybe they could check to see if the phones are ringing and point out to Redten how to use them).
As I said in my email, even if the help is only pointers on this forum as to where to get information/help/resources/contacts etc we'd all be grateful.

:T Thanks:T
I second that emotion:D
I suppose I'm luckier(?!) than some as I appear to have been one of the 38 customers who were never migrated in the first place so I've been spared the trauma of dealing with throttled broadband via NJP. I gave my Mac to Tiscali and should be up and running by the 9th April. Now all I have to do is persuade clods at Clode to end my finance agreement as they have already done with the irepressible(sp?) Benjimoron0 -
Hey 20 minutes until midnite guys, whos getting ready for broadband speeds again
Martin, great to hear from you, I distinctly get the feeling all companies concerned are getting very tired of the customers (or more likely RedTen themselves) and the common message I get back is "Yes, I understand, but we are awaiting redten to feedback to us, and that does not seem to be happening"0 -
Hi Martin,
thanks for pitching in. I apologise unreservedly if you felt any of my posts were 'sniping'. However, I'm sure you can appreciate how it appeared after being told that it was being brought to your attention and posts being deleted etc.
There was an original article entitled:
Free Pentium PC, 19" Monitor with 8mb broadband @19.99/month,3 yr contract (merged) - Page 8 - MoneySavingExpert.com Forums
with a thread which followed.
The link was:

I don't know if there are any archives kept of deleted articles/threads, but it may be useful if it can be resurrected. I for one know feel a lot happier now this issue is in your radar.Beware the character seeking personal gain masquerading as a moral crusader.

Here's hoping that page pops up later today so we can all get mac code and get the hell out of here. Just watch you don't get crushed in the stampede.‘I am not a number, I’m a free man’0
