Hey guys, guess what I just found?

I remember getting four emails from redten towards the back end of last year to my old email address (pre-redten). Each had attached invoices for the
#1 printer £36.00 dated 19/01/07;
#2 router £61.20 dated 30/11/06;
#3 the PC £ 0.00, Monitor £ 0.00, F-Secure 3 yr subs £ 36.00, Belkin 4 way Surgemaster £ 10.80 dated 19/12/06
and
#4 Redten Internet Home upto 8Mb MC 36 x £ 19.99, Broadband connection charge £ 49.99 dated 29/11/06

Now I know i am liable for paying for the accessories (printer, router, surgmaster) but hey, the invoices speak for themselves I am only paying for the Broadband!!!! (the lousy capped slow Broadband at that!!!!!)

If you need copies please pm me but they are addressed to me but if you need proof of some kind feel free. Pls also appreciate that the email server (Redten) is down so I won't get prompt notification so please bear with me.

Just a thought. We all know that Redten, NJP and Clode couldn't care less about us - their customers - but I just wondered whether they actually understand what has happened to our broadband service?

In practice, it is now impossible to 'surf the net', because web pages take so long to load - and on occassions never load at all. Any streaming sites - BBC Iplayer etc, are out of the question.

But it just struck me this morning, that these clowns perhaps think we're just wingeing because we can no longer 'download large files', having hit the 5Gb cap.

Of course I could have got this completely wrong, but when Clode tell you 'we understand all Redten customers are now back on line', it perhaps makes you think.

I accept it doesn't really get us any further, but perhaps rather than us banging on about the 5Gb cap, and the need for them to honour the 'unlimited broadband' we all signed up to, we should perhaps try and bring it home to them that the impact of the cap is such that once you've hit it, 'normal' surfing is impossible. You might just as well forget about the internet untill the end of the month! And how realistic/acceptable is that?

Any thoughts?

Well done on raising this Andy_man99.

This IS important if/when our cases get to Court. Remember the Judge may not know what impact the 5GB download limit means. We must make sure the Judge is aware - our contract was for UNLIMITED broadband, this has been modified to a 5GB monthly limited broaband WHICH MEANS THAT.........then go on to explain how this detrimental modification affects you personally.

I have posted earlier that Redten had kept details of my Debit card which I used only to pay the deposit for the Clode agreement and which I believe they should not have retained, further to that Redten transferred those details to NJP around the 10th of March

That card was subject to fraudulent transactions on the 13 th and 14 th of March
coincidence ??? maybe but considering the total disregard for the law displayed by Redten and co anything is possible

Check your accounts :mad:

Well I was looking at them in more detail today. They were emailed to me on the 27th Sept '07 and the invoices are made out to V12 Finance, 'Sell to' is me and 'deliver to' is me also. Why did redten send these to me?:confused:

I don't know why either Philclem but on re-checking my original limited emails from
RT & Clode, it appears that I too coincidently received an invoice dated 19/12/2006 on 27/9/07 from care@redteninternet.com for items :
10000 Redten Internet PC Systems ...................................1x £0.00
10001 LG L1919S 19" 8ms Slim LCD Monitor ........................1x £0.00
10023 F-Secure Internet Security 2006 90 Day Subscription OEM .1x £0.00
10017 Redten Ethernet ADSL Modem .................................1x £0.00

I doubt very much that everyone signed up on the same day but it would be interesting to know if other people also received the same email on the same day

Whatever the reason as the Invoice quite clearly shows the total charge for these items was £0.00
Which means as 'WE' already know we were paying for an ADSL service, which we're no longer receiving.

Anybody else having problems again with Outlook Express & emails?
Despite having the same download speed problems as everyone else,my email service resumed last week. It was ok until yesterday morning & now I can't send or receive.
