• er i've just noticed some of my prior posts - calling for PR campaign against RT - have been deleted too.

my guess is a moderator feels they may have been libelous.
• I've Put in a complaint. under Section 75 on the comsumer credit act. Complaints should be emailed to nicola.dobson@cloderetailfinance.com

Redten say we will get a months free broadband for the loss of service. I want my contract to end sooner and get my MAC! Who wants broadband capped and shoddy customer services? Redten should wiki customer Services and read it.

CLODE have a legal obligation under their credit licence to sort out stuff your not happy with. From Change Of Contract to Quality of Serives or goods Purchased on Credit.

Change of Badwith allowance. With redten and BT there was no cap. Now there is a 5GB cap. At this point your downloading with crawl at a painfully slow rate. eg www.bbc.co.uk takes 2 minutes to load

Change of Bandwith allowance means that my contract has been changed, it was unlimited before. I have a valid reason to revoke section 75 of the Comsumer Credit Act.

Quality of communications. Redten's lack of customer service and paid for support is agains the orginal offer. If they fog you off and say contact redten they are not doing what they are supposedd to do.

They seem to be able to chop and change their mind and get away with it.

I got no email about the change of BT to NJP and the loss of service resulted in out of pocket expences eg contating redten and being on hold for 50 minutes at least 5 times to be told that the BT notice of termination is just because we are changing providers. I was told I'd be back on in 24 hours the first call, then by thursday and then by friday and then by monday. I was denied a MAC code.

I registered a comlaint with ofcom and the FOS. All I want is Either a unlimited uncapped broadband service or a MAC code and to be told I can cancel my direct debit and go back to BT. I never had one problem with BT is 5 years.

Clode advised me that Redten were not aware that BT cut them off. Clode had to inform redten on monday afternoon.

The JNP and Murpx offering seems watered down and not what redten customers are used to.

Anyone reading this MY advise is to avoid REDTEN and FAST4 or any provider capping or shapping badnwidth when you hit the allowance.

BT offer uncapped unlimited for what I pay now. I just hope redten go belly up they deserve nothing more nothing less.

Stick with the big guys BT, Bethere, Virgin

There have been a number of posts removed relating to MSE users starting a group class action against this company.

This has been referred to the Forum Team for them to look at but please be aware that MSE is a private site owned by Martin and therefore he is legally responsible for any posts on MSE. From a post by Martin....

3. This is not a free speech public forum; it is a private site of which I am the publisher and am legally responsible for what's posted. That's the point; you say something offensive, contentious, libellous and if it's not deleted I'm in Court. That's why my abuse team are there to protect me. I choose my fights carefully versus the banks when necessary or big companies. I prefer not to have my fights chosen in the forum without my presence.

What has been posted is not offensive etc but by using MSE as a platform for a group class action then this may well involve Martin in any legal proceedings.

For these reasons I'm sure you will understand why these posts have been deleted and referred to the Forum Team. Please don't post further about this meantime.

how do we get this problem, looked at by martin?
even if his response is that he doesn't want to get involved it would be good to know. i'm sure he would be able to provide something a bit more concrete than the info we've dug up between us.

Dear abuse team,

RE: removal of posts and your reason for doing so.

1. Fair enough.

2. Given the VERY large numbers of posts/people discussing redten I would be hugely greatful if you could escalate this issue to Martin. Basically feel we were sold a PC or laptop AND unlimited broadband by redten. Now redten is only providing a limited 5gb per month capped broadband service.

3. Martin and his team are only realistic change of securing consumer justice as the legal position is complex and many redten users are simply giving up and migrating to other isps whilst still having to pay redten's finance company £19.99 for many more months/years.

I know you cant promise anything but I, and I think everyone in the forum, would be very greatful if you could at least mention it to martin / the rest of his team as an issue worthy of his efforts.

Many thanks

Duncan

Nothing illegal about you organising what you like but MSE is not the platform for posting about it as this is a private site. I have emailed MS Towers and asked if someone from the research team can look into this on Tuesday for the many Redten users.
• excellent, I really hope that Martin, or one of his team can offer some concrete advice on where we should go with this.
My plan was to just pay-off Clode and get my MAC from RT so that I can go with a different ISP. but there is no way I can afford £400 to pay-off Clode, I'd be better off keeping the finance running alongside broadband from an different ISP.

There's going to be a fine line between whether it's financially best to cut our losses and carry on paying Clode, plus another ISP or just buy extra bandwith from NJP as required.

I'm hoping Martin will get involved, as it on this site that I 1st saw it mentioned.
