Has anyone managed to get a MAC code from either RT or NPJ AFTER npj took over the lines i.e. since 19/03/08?

yes i think so too m8 watchdog will make em lose any forth comming rip offs they think they can get away with as well they wont be able to con as many people over as every one will know what they do so will make life harder for em till they buy themselves and go to a diff trading name with the promises of righting that awfull company they have taken over from lol..

I have sent them a request for one have told them they have 5 days to send it so i will wait and see what happens

Maybe it's a conspiracy theory. Perhaps Martin is under pressure to avoid a 'run' on Redten and Clode!

On another note, when I had problems with getting my service swapped when I originally ordered Redten, I found a chap called Mark Fuller quite helpful. Does anyone know if he's still about?

You could be right! Also the post that I quoted in my post that has disappeared has also disappeared!

this is the only website that really loads at any reasonable speed for me given i went over the 5gb limit on day 1 and am throttled to 5kb/p/sec.

Redten obviously want us to leave them - so they dont have to pay broadband fees for us anymore.

I also would bet (knowing a bit about the way retail finance works) that they got the cash in 1 lump sum from clode as soon as we signed and returned the paperwork. I.e. we leave they save money.

Like most people all I want is unlimited 8mb internet and like most people I will shortly get sick of this and leave.

BE - if u can get it - is great. I was a be broadband customer for 2 years and didnt have 1 single problem. The dl and ul speeds were great and I was never throttled despite being a heavy downloader due to work.

But alas I cant get be at my new home. Does anyone know any decent unlimited 8mb providers? Pref without traffic shaping or throttling? (Not SKY or cable as I dont want either of those). I was thinking BT or Virgin media?

I hope RT uncap by the end of the week next week. Cos if they dont most will leave and, I fear, most will give up pursuing the time consuming and complex legal/regulatory routes.

It does grate tho that we dont seem to be getting what we paid for.
