Glad to see you still have your "chin up" SA, that `s the spirit:) Good luck with your auction over the weekend, hope you get what you want:)

SW, like your choice in TV progs, I think Criminal Minds is brilliant and cannot understand why it is not on one of the main channels :)

    Good Morning guys....

Criminal Minds - I have never seen it. What am I missing? My watch list at the moment is No Ordinary Family which is on Watch, a bit obscure but it has Michael Chiklis in it who played Vic in the Shield and I am a big fan and also the girl who played Dexter's wife before she got murdered in the last series. It is a bit corny, about a family who have got supernatural powers, but I enjoy it.
I also like Graham Norton (TV and Radio2)
Rome wasn't built in a day (just started)
    Louie Spence's Showbusiness
    Wild at Heart

God, it all makes me seem so shallow, you wouldn't believe I am fairly intelligent, well edumacated (as my old Dad would say) but I do like escapist TV :o
Ooh nearly forgot my ultra fave Grand Designs with my secret crush Kevin McCloud. There is just something about him, when I fessed up at my last job about fancying him, loads of women felt the same. Whatever he's got, it works! :)

Got the mickey taken out of me this morning by my much younger, very attractive, morning boss.... He says that I am "more down with the kids" than he is... :p I wear a beanie hat to work because I have wild curly hair and it is easier to control that way, and I also said that I had given someone a "Big up" and he was ribbing me about it. OK, so I am in my 50's - but I still feel about 21 in my head. Think young, stay young, that's my motto. Steve Wright was talking about it on the radio this week. He is the same age as me and said that he still felt like a young man. Good on him, I say.

That is one of the problems about trying to find a man... so many middle aged men here are old before their time and truthfully just want a glorified housekeeper. Not me, I am not someone who wants to go out clubbing all the time, but on the other hand I don't want someone who needs a battery and jump leads to get going..... know what I mean? ;)

Have a good day guys, I have been outbid on my freezer which I am pleased about as it means I can afford to buy some food today....
    Impulsive, Moi? Never! :rotfl:

    Hugs

  • Steve McQueen - ultra handsome but ultra deceased, unfortunately!
Inject? What have I missed sw? I am relatively new don't forget to the diaries. Is it diabetes?
Lie in, have you been up all night, a dirty stop out?
So many questions and you are not around to answer them.

    Quick update...
I have renewed my dog's insurance and moved to Tesco because of their 50% discount offer at the moment but they don't take annual payment :( just monthly dd's - that is so they can have it on a rolling basis and renew automatically next year. A cunning plan but I am one step ahead as the AA does this and I make a note to cancel the dd's as soon as the last payment is taken and then set a new one up IF I decided to renew.
I am bidding for freezer no 2 as this one doesn't finish until tomorrow then they give you 24hrs to pay by which time I will have more funds in the bank. I am just so sorted...
My private health insurance has finished now (another perk of my redundancy) - I have done really well with it and had a course of Osteopathy and a major op in 2009 which was done within 2 weeks of first seeing the Consultant, keyhole surgery and only 3 days in hosp (2 weeks with the NHS) and back at work in 7 weeks (up to 5 months for some peeps).
Let us hope that is my fill of health problems for the foreseeable future, mind you the local NHS hospital is very good.

Bit of a gloomy day weatherwise here but at least it is milder. No chance of being frozen INSIDE my car like yesterday....

    Enjoy..

Whew, what a relief and not something more sinister but very troublesome nonetheless. A feeble joke, sorry.
    Thanks Aesop.
