Count my vote for a Yes to a Ms T!
SA, how could you not feel the effects of getting up at 1.45 a.m.? I like my 8 hours and anything less than 7, I am ripping people's heads off for most of the day.
Enjoy your glass or three of ros! later today.
Aesop, not everyone else can afford a holiday. I bet many of those that go on holiday do so on the credit card. Days out from your home base are much more fun in my opinion. Maybe the odd few days away would be nice. I do hope you get the chance to move one day.
I am a shop girl for the weekend. Weather quite nice here, but it's forecast for showers this afternoon. It's much nicer in the shop when the weather is sunny, because although I would much prefer be out in it, the customers generally are more cheerful when the sun is shining."Green pastures are before me,
Which yet I have not seen;"
I'd love to be a good example - instead, I am a horrible warning.0 -

yes, that is probably how my friends afford their holidays. At least when I do have one, it will be paid for in cash, upfront. no credit cards involved!0 -
Back from the pigs ear mission..... I gave in!
Where would I write a blog, and what about for heavens sake? I think I will just stick with my diary - mindless ramblings most of the time.
I agree with the bit about credit paying for holidays - it is what I used to do after all, along with all the other usual status symbols. I think there is a lot of hidden debt around as well.
But.... I think there is a huge divide opening up between those who "have" and those of us who "haven't" here. It really is becoming quite apparent now. Fairly affluent places here, like good restaurants, are as busy as ever while the little shops and poorer pubs are going bust all the time.
IMO there are less cars on the roads but there are still a lot of new expensive models swanning around. I live in an area where it is very common to see well groomed ladies behind the wheel of a massive gleaming 4x4 doing the school run or a little trip to the shops - very economical.
I won't be going on holiday this year - even if I could afford it - a month away last year was enough to keep the bug at bay for a couple of years and then I think I will do something different. This year is about surrounding myself with some nice things and a bit of pampering - Oh and getting a full time job as well
Nice to see you all here .... :T

you could just write the same as in your diary in your blog. There are people out there who would read a blog. Food for thought.

anyway off out now, after finding I am too fat for my trousers. LOL. time to lose weight me thinks!
have a good day SA. x0 -
Hope your and MrT's weekend went well, SA, and that your batteries are recharged ready for the week ahead. A full week's work this week, isn't it? Hope the money situation eases a bit now that your first wages have been paid. Have fun!
PS How was the ros!?"Green pastures are before me,

Hi SA
I'm on nightshift, on my break just now and thought I'd catch up with your diary. I think it'd be a great idea for you to do a blog. Now I know it's not the same as it's fictional...but I have always loved the Adrian mole books and have read them all over the years. I think it's the second last one where his wife is watching him writing in his diary and asks what he could possibly have to write about! I think if you enjoy writing it could be worth a go, u never know.
A mrs T would be nice, company for MrT and the pleasure of giving another dog a home. I love dogs but can't really have one due to my shifts.
Thank you for your comments, I actually got a call today from Dubai regarding jobs. I really want to go now, fingers crossed.
Anyway I'm going a bit crossed eyed to had better go do some work. Sorry if there are any typos, I'm on my iPhone and it tends to change words of it's own accord

Good Morning diary...
Hi Wordsmith - yep, I am full time this week and I am looking forward to it. To be honest it doesn't feel like I am a part of things when I am part time. It is not anyones fault but if anything happens or changes and I am not there, people forget and assume that I know all about it when I get back. I feel like I am missing something - out of the loop, so to speak. Let's hope it becomes full time, even if it means extra, different duties.
Lovely, lovely day yesterday - washed clothes, cleaned car, bit of gardening, lots of walking and ONE glass of wine. When and where did I turn into a pansy drinker?I have still got a bit left for tonight - tastes good, but one glass is enough.
A pretty uneventful week lays ahead, I can recharge the batteries - it was a bit helter skelter last week. Perhaps the fence will be done this week... how exciting. I was coming out of the paper shop this morning and there was a lorry there from the same company that delivered my fridge freezer recently. Being the cheeky madam that I amI asked the driver how they would manage if I was to buy a 60cm cooker (for getting it up the stairs) as I have been a bit worried about that. Anyway, he was really nice and he told me that they would be able to carry it up the stairs, no problem, and that they only get paid if they deliver the apliance properly and the customer signs. That was useful to find out. Full steam ahead with the saving up .....
I am considering doing something different next year for a holiday and as I am a mad keen horse rider I am looking into doing a sponsored horse ride abroad to raise money for charity. Won't say too much at the moment but it could be a "goer"...
Current ideas re getting a little MissT - MrT and I have had a heart to heart and we have decided the following..
1) we are not in any hurry
2) she has to be the right one
3) she has to be aware of her place in the household ( probably number 1)
We may have a little look at online dating - MrT came from an online site, who knows? I will keep you all updated.
Off now, got to get ready for work. Have a good day/week/life everyone....
A special hello to Littleboots - Dubai, here we come?
Hi sw - hurry back soon :j
Hugs

Tuesday morning....
Another sunny morning - MrT walked and everything good, except for my downstairs neighbour who is banging around like crazy!
What is it with this woman - washing machine/tumble dryer on at all hours (always unsocial) shouting and screaming like a banshee at someone who is less than 6ft away.... I just wish she could summon up half the energy to take her dogs for a walk... that is too much to ask, obviously. At least I am out at work these days but I am a little bit worried that over the last few days when I come home MrT is lying by the front door instead of in his bedHe doesn't want to pee - he is just waiting for me. I hope she isn't upsetting him while I am out.
Work was good yesterday, as you can imagine it is getting busy now that Easter is on the horizon. I especially like it when elderly people ring up and need help with ordering online... I talk them through it and they are so chuffed when they can place an order on t'internet. It is heartwarming and really gratifying, and choccy on tap too!
No sign of the new fence yet but have treated myself to a "knife and fork" clock for my kitchen (courtesy of a survey Amazon voucher) - what ever did I do without surveys? Oh, I remember - live in debt and go BRSeems like a long time ago now and yet it is less than 3 years.
This is my last full week before all the Bank Holidays kick in - there are so many of them, and I don't get paid for all of them because I am part time. I get 3/5's of them ( I don't understand it either) so it is a wait and see as to what I get paid.... Another HB hiccup coming up, I fear. Trying not to fret - I know that good things are coming - I just want to be independent
Not going to natter for too long - shower and change neccessary.
Have a good day everyone...

Been away for a couple of days, so here is a potted update.....
I got home for lunch yesterday to find my fence being replaced :j
and he has done a cracking job, I am so pleased. I was able to make the chippie a couple of cups of tea before I headed back to work. It was so funny because as I was about to close the front door I said to the workman "Do you need to use the loo before I go?" I must have sounded like his mother when he was a little boy!Anyway, it is finished and apart from the fact that it is a much darker colour than the rest of the fence, it looks brill! Me and my impatience - when the rest of the fence was put up 18 months ago I went to the local DIY superstore and instead of the Dark Oak colour that I wanted I ended up buying Harvest Gold as the other was out of stock. I have regretted it ever since - it looks like mustard! So now I am going to paint the whole lot, including my little shed (that my neighbours say looks like a sentry box or an outside privy) - that will be my Easter project.
Got loads to tell you diary - I had an awful night last night - my wretched downstairs neighbours were causing mayhem - kids, dogs, shouting, thumping and bumping around, and then their bedroom TV was on ALL NIGHT!!!!! There is nothing worse than everything being silent except for the noise of a TV hour after hour after hour. They told the mediators last year that they had bought headphones for him (the husband) to wear at night - I knew they wouldn't keep to it and here we go again. I didn't get a wink of sleep. It looks like I am going to have to move out of my lovely bedroom and into the much smaller second bedroom which I use as an office. The trouble is that he listens to a lot of music during the day and plays games so it is ultra noisy during the day when I want to work....HELP... someone please! I have written a long letter to the Mediators asking them to get involved again but I may have to go the council environmental people this time. I am truly exhausted.
Another moan - blimin MrA and their policy of "double dipping" or pre authorising payment TWICE for one lot of online shopping. It is very naughty, very inconvenient and very annoying. For anyone that hasn't come across it, this is what they do.....
You place your order online and they pre authorise the payment from your funds but don't draw it. Then for some God given reason they then get pre authorisation and payment a second time when the goods are delivered. This leaves the first authorised amount "on hold" with your bank - you can't access it or spend it until 3 - 10 days later when it is allowed back into the account as available funds. It stinks and it is wrong and means that I am £53 out of pocket until next Monday despite the shopping being bought, delivered and paid for LAST SATURDAY!!!!
Work is going well and I am so enjoying being full time despite being dead on my feet. I am making sure that MrT is getting his full quota of walks and love and he seems fine. Lots of bank holidays and long weekends coming up and I can really make it up to him then.
Not going to go on for too long - am a bit grumpy with the problems from downstairs. If someone "up there" is listening - please get them moved to a house somewhere and out of my life.
Two days to the weekend........ hooray!
Hugs

I really cannot think of much worse than noisy, inconsiderate neighbours. I really feel for you. Does it affect other neighbours, or just you?
I am so pleased the job is going well, though. Nuisance about the money and MrA (who he?) - I didn't know they did this. Is it just the first time you use them, or every time?"Green pastures are before me,
Which yet I have not seen;"
I'd love to be a good example - instead, I am a horrible warning.0
