OK - I am here, and what an update I have got for you diary.....
I started typing a long post this morning and the computer decided to freeze just as I was about to "submit" - I could have screamed.
Anyways....
The interview went OK and I will hear on Thursday if I have got it or not. 12 hours between Thurs and Sat which would take my hours from the two jobs up to 33 - OK. It is only 5 minutes from home and a doddle - I have done it all before. I am not sure how my other employers will take it - but I did tell them I needed more hours and they couldn't oblige just yet (if at all) so I haven't got a lot of choice really
.
Beautiful weather and I have been in the garden for two days on and off - I have got so much done.
But........
I painted the fence with stain this morning - with one of those spray things except for the new bit that was done this week. Because that has got gaps in it and faces the neighbours garden I hand painted it. While I am doing that "she" comes round and hangs up two lines of washing. Old cynic me - I think to myself she could have hung on until I had finished.
Anyway, the fence looks great and I am thrilled. I go to the tip, talk to other neighbours, potter about, walk the dog etc etc. At 5.30pm I get in the shower and there is this godalmighty hammering on my door. The dog is going bananas, the door is still being subjected to a right hammering so I answer it with soaking wet hair and a towel round me. It is Mr Fatty from downstairs shouting at me that I "have ruined all her washing getting paint all over it".I don't see how, I hand painted that part - unless the spray carried about 25 feet, I just don't get it.
So I ask him to let me see it and he starts shouting for Mrs Fatty to come round which seemed to go on forever - it was horrid.
She comes round with a pillowcase, an old pyjama top, a blouse and a kids top. They had a few brown specks on (tiny) I must admit and I said I was sorry and to let me wash them for her. She refused and said "I told him not to come round, what's the point?" I told her that I was offering to clean it all for her but she wouldn't let me. I asked why it was neccessary for him to come round spoiling for a row, shouting the odds, exaggerating and so on. ALL the washing indeed. I said that if she wouldn't let me do it then would she let me know how they turned out after she rewashed them? I can imagine some form of complaint winging it's way somewhere tomorrow morning
I am truly sorry but for some reason these people get right up my nose with their attitude to everything. Could they be resentful of me? I just want a quiet life with MrT - going to work and enjoying my home and garden but these people are such a hassle.
As I type she is banging and crashing around downstairs. I had a feeling this would happen. If he comes round again I am going to call the police, I don't need to feel scared in my own home, but I do. Not scared physically but that horrible feeling when your tummy turns to jelly and you wonder what is going to happen next?
I have decided to buy a single bed and put it in this second bedroom that I use as my study. If there are nights that they have got the TV on all night then I will just move in here to sleep. I can't make it my main bedroom as there is too much furniture but a single bed would be OK.
Why can't life be simple?

Oh, SA, that's horrible. What ignorant people. I can imagine how you are feeling. Can't stop because I have a customer waiting - just wanted to offer virtual support."Green pastures are before me,
Which yet I have not seen;"
I'd love to be a good example - instead, I am a horrible warning.0 -
Right, so this woman who uses her tumble drier at all hours of the day and night, decides to hang out her washing JUST when you are painting your fence! And as for the specks.... bet she did her best to get those on her clothes! any sensible person would see you were painting the fence and not put their washing out!
GRRRRRRR  to indimidation. Document all this properly and keep it, as if they try any funny business you will need this.
 why should you have to buy a single bed and move into your study! You have a perfectly good bedroom that you are happy using!
the sooner they are relocated the better! Why can't they just let you live your life! Jealousy methinks!
(((((((SA)))))) from me too. xx0 -
Hi guys,
Thanks for that - I am getting so worked up over it, what a way to end the weekend.
Last night she had the tumble drier on from 7.15pm for 3 hours. I don't know what she finds to wash. You are right - I would never have hung my washing out either - but I think they are looking at ways to get at me. It is working, unfortunately!
He is outside now playing with his remote controlled buggies - that will go on for hours too. Great!!
