Oh SA so funny, sending them chocolates!

You and Mr T, so funny. I love the way you walk everywhere it is soo cheerful and it is helping me to stay calm. I am flapping as i will meet a hero on Saturday and am genuinely terrified. Kind of like meeting Saint Peter at the pearly gatesand him turning round and saying wrong way Kit, downstairs love, you know?

I thought the job interview was successful Wordsmith?

A meet would be great. Wordsmith dont you live in Ireland though? I am in Hampshire. I always think you are in the upper middle like Angel. Dont know why? you are both so nice and kind.

Ooooh we can meet Mr Dojo, dead excited.

Aesop this is such fun. We are going to meet maybe in the summer hols I am sure. We are pretty close by.

You sound demob happy (or "gate happy", as we used to say at the prison). It's good to hear. Hope you have a fabby weekend. Chocolate delivery is a nice touch - should put them on the back foot, as long as they don't think you are being sarky. Good luck with it. If they get too fat on the choc, they won't fit into their brown-speckled tops and so will quickly forget the incident.

If I got stroppy with you, would you send me a parcel of chocolate as a peace offering? I don't think I could get stroppy with you, though. Unless you are secretly phoning he-who-will-not-be-named?

What was the outcome of the interview at the weekend?

Prison, gosh you've had an exciting life. I went out with a police officer for a while but gosh your's takes some beating. can you tell us more?

    Dear Diary,

Easter is here - hooray. 3 weeks of very hard work have come to an end and a nice long weekend lays ahead. I am working "full time" for the next couple of weeks too, but with the bank holidays it wont be 5 day weeks.
I haven't heard anything from the interviewer and it was supposed to be last night IF I was successful. It comes to something when you can't get a part time menial (minimum wage) position in a business where you were a manager for 7 years - must be overqualified (that's what I am telling myself). On the plus side it means I wont have to work weekends and bank holidays and I can concentrate on getting a full time job with my present employers.

I got a big box of Easter Eggs to bring home with me last night - aren't I lucky..... :D Are you all jealous? I will send you all a virtual Easter Egg :icotbaske and think of you while I eat the real thing!

I rang MrT (the other one) last night and they confirmed that they only take payment once for online shopping. The guy had never heard of the MrA double pre-authorisation thing and he was incredulous that they can actually get away with it, as I am. I am still waiting for replies to my letters to the MD and CEO of MrA and am certainly not going to let it lie. So.... I have a big delivery coming this evening of lots of nice things including 3 bottles of wine (it was on offer :o) yummy!!!

I am charging up my new hedge trimming thingy and am going to let myself loose on the hedge this afternoon. Watch out everyone, especially Mrs Fatty who may well be decapitated seeing as she couldn't even acknowledge my gift of choccie that she got yesterday. Ignorant so and so's.

Zillions of surveys to do and a life to plan :D so I am going to sign off for now but wont be too far away and will be posting much more this weekend. I have missed the banter. Have a great day everyone....

    Hugs

SA, when you get your receipt from your delivery, go to https://www.tescopricecheck.com/PriceCheck/Pages/StoreCompare/Default.aspx put in your receipt details - it is very clear how to. Then hopefully you will receive an email tomorrow with double the difference back :D Tesco claim to be cheaper than Asda. And if some stuff you have bought is cheaper at Asda, they will give you double the difference back :D

Pah to mrs fatty! how rude to not even acknowledge your - let's draw a line under this gift.

I've been doing the Vivatic surveys too :) and already upto £4.85, which is good going. Being doing loads of surveys and signing up for things. There is going to be a big MS shop this summer, did it last summer, but this summer hoping to get more work.

Not sure what we are upto this weekend. Monday will take DS for Easter Egg hunt near his nursery. On Tuesday there is a competition at his nursery - his friends will decide who has the best Easter bonnet! So have to buy one this weekend and get him to decorate it... eek.

DH told me boys don't wear bonnets, but I said everything the nursery has requested, I have done so far, and I want to be one of those Mams that does get involved. I was the first one to sponsor them for their red nose day, the first one to bring DS' baby photo.

Anyway have fun with your hedge trimmer. :D

Wonder if the Fatty Family were so incensed at your gift they didn't eat it? Hmmmm. Or maybe they are busy deciding how best to make up to you? Hmmmm. Or maybe they are out buying earphones so they don't have to have the TV on loud at night? Hmmmm. Or maybe they are just ignorant so and so's. Non-hmmmm.

Could you suggest ear phones? My dad and also a friend of mine, both of whom were/are rather deaf and so had to have the TV up loud, had wireless ear phones so that they didn't annoy anyone else.

Hope you have a lovely weekend off. When do you get paid for the extra work? That will come in nice and handy, I'm sure. It's not a bank holiday in Ireland, can you believe? This always suprises me since it is a Catholic country. Lots of people still get the day off, though, since it is a Church holiday. As it's a Church holiday, no alcohol can be sold - so pubs and off-licences are closed, and supermarkets have to cover their drinks stands. Last year there was a big rugby match on over the Church holiday and there was an enormous outcry because the pubs were closed - the ones round the stadium got special dispensation to open for a bit before the match and again afterwards. I am working all weekend - shop girl mainly, but doing the books at the restaurant on Monday.

There's still time to hear about the job - although maybe it would be neater for you to work more hours in your present job. As you say, at least you'd have your weekends and bank holidays to yourself.

Have fun planning your life. Hope the hedge trimmer doesn't get carried away with you.

    Hola amigas!

I will check my receipt Aesop, I promise, I know I will never hear the end of it if i don't :) We have been selling so many trail kits for kids to do easter egg hunts - very, very popular. And as for boys in bonnets! Poor chap.... lol

Wordsmith - now this is the thing.... the Fatty family actually told the Meidators last year that MrF now had headphones and there would be no TV noise through the night.... that has certainly never actually happened and he managed to turn it on again last night at 11.45 pm for a film or two... and that is the same day I GIVE THEM CHOCCIE!!!! I am not going to get angry though. Life really is too short and I have worked out that if I am tired enough then I drop off anyway.

I get paid the second week of may so that will be nice - might even be able to get my new cooker. Exciting!
I agree that it will be neater to get full time Mon-Fri - I like "neat".
Sorry about the non Bank Holiday thing.
I had a customer telephone me on Wednesday evening asking if there was ANY way of getting some special easter eggs to Dublin in 24 hours? We don't normally courier to Southern Ireland because of the cost, only Royal Mail, but I organised for our courier to pick up the parcel and put it on the evening ferry that night and he should have received it yesterday afternoon. I have got my fingers crossed but he was such a nice man and he was one of those "Whatever it costs" people .... I do like to help if I can.
Have a good day and don't work too hard.

    Hugs

I am not always so nice, Aesop - you have to catch me on a good day! My new boss struggles at times with my "can do" attitude... she is unbending a bit though. I KNOW I am right. I just hate to see customers palmed off , I try and imagine how I would feel in the circumstances.
Off to duck feed - speak soon!

Hi SA, I love your diary and your "CAN DO" attitude. Boo to your neighbours....does this sum them up?

Happy Easter, enjoy your chocolate. I can't wait for Lent to finish to have some. It's sitting in a drawer calling to me. Have you noticed how chocolate has a mermaid-like siren-song, drawing you to it? Carrots and other healthy foods, on the other hand, are silent.

I'll go now before you send for the men in white coats for me. Cheers, Satchmo x

    Hi and Welcome.....

The funny thing is I am not a Choc a holic - I will eat it if it is there but I could and certainly do live without it. I have had a couple of mini eggs today but that is it. I am amazed at the number of people that have given up chocolate for Lent. Only 'til Sunday, thank goodness.

Mrs Fatty still hasn't acknowledged the gift - what an ignorant bunch they are! I bet she hasn't returned it to sender though. It sort of makes sense - I really do think that they want life to be "their way or no way" My window cleaner (the old gossip) was telling me that I will never get to the bottom of them (whatever that means) and just to keep myself to myself (which I do) as they come from generations of low life (as he so eloquently puts it). Like a soap opera, isn't it?
Hedge trimming went quite well for a first attempt - it is actually quite straight, or should I say straight enough and I didn't cause any injuries either.....
Just waiting for the MrT delivery now - then I can have a shower and put my pj's on - I don't want to frighten the driver off :) and then I can open a bottle of Rose as well. I am going to put my phone in the car - I don't want to be making any booty calls overseas seeing as I have been so good for the past few weeks. Miss him though :(
    Have a good evening everyone
    Hugs
