rose sounds good though :) might crack open a bottle myself tonight. Really need to do work but might have an early night instead.

Good idea on putting the phone in the car. Will that be before you put your PJs on, or after?

Rose does sound good. Enjoy, and relax. You, too, Aesop.

I can quite honestly say that I have never been so incensed as yesterday when I received a letter from MrA's customer service dept regarding the recent problems with the online grocery service....

Firstly.... the letter was dated 18th April, posted SECOND CLASS arriving on Saturday 23rd and although not written by anybody terribly important (except to himself) had a RUBBER STAMP signature :( even a "pp" would have been better.

Secondly... the tone of the letter was arrogant, patronising and very unsatisfactory. Now I am determined not to let it rest and I will be sending all the documents to the Office of Fair Trading.

Thirdly..... not a glimpse of any sort of gesture to me for the time, trouble and inconvenience this has all caused me. I am aghast, truly.

And they call this "Executive Relations" ..... words fail me...

Back to life in the SA world. Still no acknowledgment of the choccie gift from the Fatty family, but I notice the empty box is outside with the rubbish. Move on, move on SA

I finished the garden tidying and replanting yesterday just in time for the rain. I am really looking forward to the grasses and bamboo growing through, they have started shooting so wont be long. MrT did some serious sunbathing and was a real "hot dog" when he finally decided to come indoors. I think his claws are giving him a bit of jip so a trip to the vets (Nice) is on the horizon... alert the SWAT team :D

A lovely day ahead of me today... a nice walk for MrT and then watching the X Country day at Badminton Horse Trials on the BBC red button.... all day long :) Brilliant. Back in the prosperous past it would be an annual outing going to see it live but the TV is as near as I get these days but great nonetheless.

I just realised that in my shopping delivery from MrT (t'other one) I got 2 packs of sausages instead of a pack of fish fingers! An easy mistake to make :D I don't mind though and it was sausages and mash for tea last night. It must have been the first time I have fried anything in months though.

Wont harp on too long - got a reply to compose for Mr Jumped Up.

    Hee hee

 Mr A, so pleased I am doing DTD at Mr T instead! Maybe more expensive on certain items but I am making money out of it. How rotten is that! Mr T when you make a genuine complaint send you a £10 gift card, which is very generous!

Yes, ignore the neighbours. You are doing everything right, if they don't have the manners to say thank you... let the council move them on!

I bought some lilies for our garden yesterday, i love lilies, so need to do some digging in the garden and plant them. Have to think carefully though, as DS is always throwing his ball in there and climbing in the plants, so needs to be somewhere we will not have permanant lily stains!

Oh Mr T if you don't put no swaps for items in stock, they will sometimes replace stuff that is out of stock with random stuff, that is not the same as what you ordered. Sorry substitutions. couldn't remember the word. So if you don't say no, you will find the online shoppers, will replace fish fingers with sausages. Why they think sausages are like fish fingers, no idea! hey do random things like this, depending on who is picking your order.

If you wish to, you can complain to customer service and they may give you a refund. Just check your bill as they may have charged you for 2 packs of sausages instead.

    Have a good Easter.

Oh by the way, SW has posted on 3Dogs thread, they are having a great time, she has met her hero George and asked him to marry her. I think he declined...lol. She has calmed down and is very happy meeting everybody.

    Hi Aesop...

Is sw completely unstoppable? She is certainly on some sort of hell bent mission to pair everyone off, including herself. What a loony, despite being the MSE darling and little sweetheart.
Thankyou for explaining the substitution policy - I thought I might have had a blind, illiterate order picker, perhaps not :)
Sausages made a nice change anyway.
I have composed a two page missive for MrA's jumped up person. I ended the letter telling him that if he wanted to give the impression that he actually cared about what he did then a 1st class stamp and a proper signature would go some way to giving that impression.
More to follow, I am sure.
I was listening to Gardeners hour on Radio York yesterday and they were discussing the lily beetle.... didn't even know there was such things, but apparently so.
Have a good day, off to watch the geegees....

SW wants to wear a hat to a wedding, that is why she is so desperately pairing people off..lol and she has seen some lovely dresses she could wear to a wedding, which she would look a darling in.

It should actually be a fascinator now, as hats are passe now.

Good for you about letter to Mr A. Let's hope they take the time to read, digest and compose a suitable personal reply!

ooh lily beetle, better google it.... my luck will have them when lily comes out!

Have told DH i broke DS' bed... Lol - didn't tell the truth about how I did it, but at least I admitted i broke it, rather than blame it on DS! Hopefully he can fix it.

He said it is because I am fat, well that is true but I was jumping on the bed! It is only a little bed meant for little toddler not fully grown fat adults!

Guess what... I put my T receipts in - wombled 3 and got DTD of £20 and £12. The first one I went over by £4, and as they have capped at £20, have lost the £4, but never mind. Free £20 for next week shopping. And a free £12.... :j

so hope you get a good return to ;)

Crikey, wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of that letter!

Move on, yes ... but don't forget this sooo gives you the moral high ground!

Enjoy your day. Happy Easter, everyone. I am working and we have been surprisingly busy. No one in the shop at the moment (at least, I hope not  as I have just nipped into the back office to do some "admin". ;))

Darn ... petrol pump going. Have good day.

And it is still work free!!!!! except for Wordsmith - sorry :( but it is so nice of you to drop in, thanks..

Aesop - help? My "receipt for my MrT shopping is a two page A4 print out and I can't find any details on it to enter into your receipt checker thingy. Should there be something else?
And.... the sausages were a freebie! The fish fingers were there after all, hidden between other things that I missed when I put it away. Crikey! And at 2 for a fiver, didn't she do well ;)

Well - me and my MrT had a bit of a fall out yesterday - little scamp. I had given him a treat and rather than eating it in his bed which he normally does, he decided to jump on the settee and guard it. He was growling at me, which is what he used to do when I first got him, and I was not having any of that! So taking the advice of Cesar Millan the dog whisperer I got a cushion and "herded" him off the furniture and then shut him out of the lounge for the evening. He got very stroppy with me - methinks Sir has got a little bit above his station with me being home pandering to him for a few days - he is back to normal this morning and looking at me quite sheepishly - little does he know he is off to kennels for a sleepover in a couple of weeks as I have got 2 days in Leeds training with the HA - on handling complaints... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:couldn't make it up, could you?

Cross Country day at Badminton Horse trials was fab-u-lous and I watched for 6 hours. Heaven! There is the last discipline today, Show Jumping, and it is on the box at 1pm. There are about 4 or 5 riders who are within a couple of points of each other - exciting.

It has made me realise how much I miss my horse riding and as soon as my overtime is out of the way I am going to organise a couple of hours riding on the Yorkshire Moors. I might even do a pub ride - two of my guilty pleasures in one hit!

Another beautiful day beckons - the forecast said that it was due to break yesterday but the sun is hanging on in there. And it is STILL only April. I hope this isn't our summer. My lucky sister is down on her boat on the South Coast having sold her house, bought a cheap rundown one to do up, and then splurge the rest on a boat which has been their dream for years. Follow the dream - my philosophy - doesn't make you rich financially, but certainly makes you rich in memories ...... :)

    Dreaming on......

    Hugs

    Hi SA

for online ordering, it is a different way of entering your receipt - not checked before,

    https://www.tescopricecheck.com/PriceCheck/Pages/OnlineCompare/Default.aspx

use this one, and it shows you what to look for on your receipt. Much easier than my instore one!

awww to Mr T. Wonder what made him change like that yesterday?

DS has just come to me with my flip flops and said come on mummy, let's go get the bus. I said where to? The fair..... I knew this was going to happen! He had so much fun yesterday, he wants to go back again!

Problem is 1) it doesn't open until 1pm. 2) I have lost my bus pass. It has another 2 weeks left on it! If I cannot find it, I have to report it as lost and go and get another one and get it activated! And that won't happen until tomorrow when I am back at work! 3)DH has not stopped complaining about the state of the house all weekend and this morning. So how am I supposed to clean it up and entertain DS at the fair? he cried yesterday when I insisted we come home. I had to call his Dad to tell him he had to come home!

Great news about your sister SA.

Our dream is to move out of London and move North, cheaper life, and easier pace of life.

Thanks Aesop - that makes sense now, I have entered the details - a bit cheeky looking for money back when I have already got some free bangers!
My dog is like a child in that if I spoil him it comes back and bites me on the bum (almost literally) - I should be a bit firmer with him at times, I know, it is my fault :)
I can vouch for life in the North - it is just so pretty with the countryside literally all around, you can just walk for miles and forget all the daily rubbish. Money is tight - everyone seems to be on or just over minimum wage but that is a small price to pay. Lots of free things to see and do make up for it.
Cleaned the car, weeded the car parking area, swept the path - no stopping me!
I am a bit upset in that the neighbour on the other side of the Fatty family is ignoring me. We used to chat all the time but she has taken to gossiping with MrsF and I suppose is taking sides. So silly, isn't it? I certainly don't think I have given her any reason to cut me off but she certainly has. Life can be so strange sometimes.
