Morning sw - didn't expect to hear from you today! Very welcome. Do you remember Roobarb and Custard, the kids programme, or was it before your time?
I feel so old sometimes.... and India are playing Sri Lanka, not Pakistan! Getting absent minded as well.... who am I , where am I............ jeepers!

I did wonder SA! As I knew India had beat Pakistan on Wednesday.
SW is always talking about Rhoobarb and Custard! That was in our time, we are the same ageI used to hate watching it, didn't like the way everything wobbled.

Yes, i didn't understand it at the time. I am 40 now and can appreciate it for the work of art (on a budget how terribly MSE) that it was. Can you click on the link in my last post? it's the theme tune. The next PM should insist everyone has to watch Rhubarb and Custard in the mornings. Nothing to be ashamed of - cricket is a boys thing really, isn't it? But he is quite lovely, but definitely a la Beckham - better when he keeps his mouth shut - a bit of a high, peculiar voice I am afraid. As if that would ever matter.... haha

Good morning everyone....
Yes thanks sw, I had a good weekend. With the good weather, I took full advantage and tidied the garden, cut the lawn, washed the car and then cleaned the flat right through. Exhausted, but in a good way.
It is such a good feeling to get all the chores out of the way. There is plenty of food in the fridge and freezer and the gas and electric are topped up. Won't go cold or hungry and the first awful month without money is almost over. Roll on Thursday......
I have started packing MrT's things ready for his sleepover in the kennels this evening and he is giving me some very quizzical looks. Cruel MumIt does bring him down a peg or two though - he is very spoilt at home and it just gives him a bit of a reality check and means that I can get on with my two days training without dog walking and other duties.
Absolutely no contact with ex since the middle of last week and I am feeling pretty relieved, to be honest. I hope it lasts.
Great, great news this morning - for anyone that hasn't been following the story,a quick update.....
There is a very old, athritic elephant (called Anne) who has been kept in the Bobby Roberts circus all her life - shackled on short chains and kept in a windowless barn. Despite many calls for her to be rehomed the owners have always refused, until recently when an animal welfare group filmed secretly over 3 weeks her Romanian groom beating her and stabbing her with a pitchfork. it was exposed in the Daily Mail and there has been a huge outcry over it. The guy has disappeared but yesterday the wonderful Longleat moved her to and she will see out her days there in her own enclosure. 13 acres with some rhinos to keep her company. 3 keepers to keep a watch on her 24/7 - I cried all week at thisbut this morning I cried with joy
fantastic story.
A decent enough morning here but we have rain forecast for this afternoon.
I hope you all have a good day..
Hugs
