All the lovely words in the posts above should show you how much people care about you and love you SA ........... I think you have to learn again to care about yourself and to love yourself. At the moment, when you are down and tired, you fall back on your past i.e. your ex as, even though that area holds bad memories as well as the good, it is a safe area for you as it is something you know. Better the devil you know ... and all that eh?

But you were doing so well petal - new job, looking forward, cutting off links to your ex, etc. The new job and being short of money until your first payday is taking a lot out of you, even when you don't realise it. Then a slight depression takes over, which plays tricks on your mind and you start thinking back to other times with rose tinted glasses perhaps?? Whatever made you get in touch with ex again, you know in your heart or hearts that this is not good for you, which in turn adds to the depression. You feel that you are not in control .... that you do not have the strength to get through this on your own .... you miss having someone at your side to support you perhaps?

Whatever ..... depression even in it's slightly form makes you tired as your mind can't rest, it is always busy. But the tiredness is just your body's way of shutting down your body to repair itself, to rest, to heal. The tiredness means that you lack motivation but you do have so much to look forward to. And you have such great friends on here to give you support, and a shoulder to lean on - use this support to it's fullest whenever you need to petal, as it is given with love, openly

Your friends have seen your inner strength and know that, if you can just find it again, you can pull yourself round. All this is temporary, as you have such a great personality that it must shine through again very soon - you are too good a person to stay down

    Go girl go :A :A :A

Beanie is watching a tv programme but I couldn't find it. She will find SA. She always pops up when people need cheering up. SA do you know she sent me some snoopy sweets one day when i was down a few weeks ago. Her writing is beautiful and on the tin it says 'Be Happy' it is here next to me and cheers me up when i am tired.

    Hi SA and everyone else.

It must be really hard to want to work more and have a better life and be held back. But go you for asking for more hours. If there is jobs vacant then maybe they might want to up your a bit rather than hire a whole extra person.

I agree with the others. Forget the ex. He isn't worth you at all

    Hi everyone,

Thanks for so much good feelings that are being sent my way.
I overemphasised the impact that my ex is having on me now - truthfully.
It really is the work/money situation that is so difficult. The benefits system is carp for single people, it really is. I just feel like I am in a catch22 situation. Do you know - 20 years ago my annual salary was twice what my current job pays for full time? That is a ludicrous statement - but a fact nonetheless. My rent and council tax take up over 50% of my take home pay. Everyone I seem to work with nowadays is part of a couple or lives at home and don't seem to grasp the realities of paying everything on your own :(
Life will improve, I know it will. The peaks far outweigh the troughs these days - I will keep positive.
    Hugs

Good morning. I find that too. My bills (telephone, gas, electricity, council tax, etc) are £400 a month! and i am saving to have essential building work done. I am sure something positive will occur, you are very good at what you do. I am sure they will have a full time vacancy for you. Fingers crossed.

Stay happy. Birdies are singing in the garden. I have a manic day today. 12 hours and i am only paid for 3 of it!!!! Have a good day and remember you are wonderful.

    love kit.
