Good Morning Aesop and everyone else,
I have been off the forum for a couple of days for one reason or another but good to see you back and I see sw is lurking as well
I was beginning to think I was talking to myself so I was doing it in my head rather than here on MSE. I see a number of diaries have gone fairly quiet - people must be leading busy lives.
We had another nice day yesterday and I finished tidying the garden - you will have to get yours done so that you can all enjoy the next bout of sunny weather when we get it. It is a lot chillier today though.... jumpers back on. I treated myself to watching a film on Box Office yesterday afternoon though - I have got a thing about Mark Ruffalo, the actor, so I watched his latest movie.
MrS seem to be reducing the price of a lot of food at the moment and I bought a nice gammon joint in honey for £3 and roasted that last night. That will do a good 3 dinners and a sandwich - I like gammon as there is so little waste.
I was pleased to see that 2 Amazon vouchers were emailed to me overnight. One was redeeming survey points but the other one I was relieved to get as it was for one particular survey and it has been a while since I completed it and I was worried it might be a con. But I take it back and it has arrived. £20 to go towards my pebble fire.
The HA meeting on Thursday afternoon was a bit of a disaster - 2 people turned up!They had put on such a spread - there was some really lovely food there. Luckily it was in a church meeting room and we were able to leave it for some groups that were meeting later in the day. We have tried so many different things trying to get tenants to participate and meet but at the moment it feels like we are flogging a dead horse. I wonder if online is the way to go - people can access stuff 24/7 and browse according to their lifestyle and bodyclock.
I have decided to look for an opportunity to work 30+ hours a week permanently. My job at the moment is 21 hours, but from Monday I am full time for 6 weeks. If I go above 30 I can claim WTC and will be much better off. At the moment I get some HB and CT benefit but my total income is pretty poor. I could also do with getting a position in the office in my home town rather than where I am at the moment which is about 5 miles away. One I can reach on foot and not have to use the car as I do now. I really like the company and they are good employers - it could just be a little bit more practical to make it perfect. Thank heavens for surveys and the new fridge freezer. Every little helps at the moment.
Nothing this coming week with the HA but there is a meeting and a days training the week after as well as 4 days work so I shall have to get the Sanatogen out.... I can see me crashing as soon as I sit on the sofa at night. Where has all that youthful vitality gone?
The sky is clearing a little now but it is pretty overcast and chilly. I think it is going to be an inside day today other than the obligatory walks with MrT. Not allowed to miss those.....
Speak soon
Hugs

It's cloudy here, but am hoping it will get brighter soon. DS wants to go out, he has already asked me if I am getting ready - his key for let's go out. My friend's husband is going to lend me his branch trimmer, need to trim the branches on a tree that our neighbours so kindly cut the roots on, last year. We didn't know the roots were growing on their side, so when they did their garden, they just cut the roots, without warning us, so we could have resituated the tree, and it fell over sideways. Means the branches grow out over the path which is difficult for DS and his friends, at eye level.
Trying to find someone to take away washer dryer and need DH to fix lawn mower so can cut the grass! Then I want to buy a little bench for DS and his friends so they can sit in the garden.
I have a day off in 2 weeks time, if I haven't achieved all this by then, will do it that day.
I hope you get something more local SA. I am rethinking my job, getting on my nerves again, everything up in the air, no idea what I am doing, I can't work like this.
But I need a steady guaranteed income and with tax credits being cut again, I don't have that as guaranteed income.
Re-thinking what I can do.0 -
I do hope something local comes up for you both in the meantime, you are expanding your skills so your cv looks better. Jobwise i think i am ok this year but i am sure redundancies will be announced next year. Weather is getting better down south. Dad is visiting, he is a fuss pot and driving me mad. It is worse as i have been isolated from living with others for such a long time I must stay calm only 3 days left to go.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220

Everyone put the clocks forward an hour and filled out their census form?
Yet another occasion where I am pleased I live alone - only took 10 minutes .....

I told DH last night, I would do all the clocks and then went to bed and forgot! Had to get up again and go round and change them all! He relies on them in the morning to get him out on time!0

Hi, SA. Glad things are going well for you. Is the office in your home town still with the chocolate firm, so you may be able to transfer, or do you have to start job hunting afresh? Good luck with it."Green pastures are before me,
Which yet I have not seen;"
I'd love to be a good example - instead, I am a horrible warning.0 -
Mr dojo do you really have the doggie that is in your avatar? that is really funny.

I have the day off today. Am taking best friend out for a birthday meal two weeks after her birthday. Then marking and writing reports. I would love to work with chocolate.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
