You are all wonderful and thankyou for rallying round, even Dojo lurking in the background!! I am very tired and the newly repaired fence blew down again today
but I am not so despondent. Only one more day and then two days at home with MrT. I do miss him when I go to work - he seems to cope with it better than me!
I have got two days training with the HA next week and have booked MrT into kennels for one night to make things easier, practically not emotionally.... if he stayed at home I would be tying myself in knots trying to get him walked and looked after properly.
I shall be so pleased when some money starts trickling in next week - at least i haven't had to beg, borrow or steal to get through this first month of work. That is a real plus in my eyes.
The fridge is empty, freezer is empty, cupboard looking a bit sad - can't wait to do a big shop. Bottle of wine will be top of the list.
Speak soon,
Hugs

p.s sw- you are a class apart..... thanks muchly!!!2011 - New year, New start, New me[STRIKE]Planning on [/STRIKE] making my dreams a reality0 -
I is an idiot but a nice one!
Oh nooo no food that is bad. I usually have cornflakes. Have you ever been to a L@dl or an A@di? they are very cheap and sell big brands at a fraction of the cost. I have been going for a few weeks and am soo happy to be saving. A new me. Valuable lessons. I can't believe how ripped off i was in the old days. Everyone at work shops at Waitrose I can't afford it but they do have harissa paste which is good for cooking.
Sorry about fence. I would be upset about that. Can you ask for a new one?
What are your plans for the weekend? I have marking but i am going to go out with my friends. I have hardly any money to spend though so i will have to be careful as i must have money for next month as our thread is travelling to Newcastle (I am going to learn to be a Geordie can you imagine a mad indian brummie, shortypants saying Wayhey????) and also to Scooootland for a meet. Jolly excited.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
You are not an idiot SW you are a wonderful person!
Hmm SA what type of fence did they put up? We cannot have a solid wood fence as the wind catches it and blows it down - so we have to have one with gaps (small enough that the Furry Dragon (tm) can't get through BUT large enough for the wind to pass through)Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

Hi Dragon,
Thanks for popping by - I too have most of the fence as posts with gaps between but at both sides of the front door I have a 6 foot fence panel to block the garden off from next door. Unfortunately they are like a sail in high winds. I have also discovered that the guy who repaired it last time tried to fix it to the brick wall rather than battening it first - no wonder it didn't last 2 minutes. Only got to last til Monday and they are coming again.
sw - we don't have an Alid anywhere near and Lidl is about 30 minutes drive away so I stick to Sainsburys basics and snap up any offers. This will be the worst week, I know, next week I start getting regular money coming in. Thanks for worrying!
One day to go and then the weekend - washing, cleaning and dog walking on the agenda. Can't wait...........:D
Hugs

Hope the last day of the week goes quickly. You must be tired. Hope the weekend lets you recharge your batteries - enjoy being with MrT."Green pastures are before me,
Which yet I have not seen;"
I'd love to be a good example - instead, I am a horrible warning.0 -
Hooray, hooray....
The week has finished -
- 4 NSD's - through neccessity rather than voluntary
- Full time at work - as it got busier, it got easier and I breezed through the last couple of days, back to my old self. My manager said she was really pleased with my work. I think that it is because she has left me alone to just use my common sense and work a bit more independently. I can be a bit irked if someone keeps telling me what and how to do things all the time - they might as well do it themselves is my thinking.
- HR have replied to my email saying that they will try and sort something out for me regarding more hours. I will go with the flow and keep budgetting like mad - payday this week so I can buy some bulk stuff and fill the freezer. I know they don't want to see me go. Who would?
- Fence is being repaired again on Monday and a supervisor is coming so we might get a bit more of a sensible, practical repair this time. I must look such a sight lugging a 6ft fence panel around the street...
I fell asleep on the sofa last night with MrT snoring on top of me (he is a dog for any new readers wondering if my luck had changed) and I have got the strangest aches and pains this morning - they will wear off, I am sure. I am just pleased to have a day off.
I am going to have a quiet weekend - lots of cleaning and washing to do to catch up, but..... I am a fan of One Day Cricket and the World final is today with India playing Sri Lanka and it is on ALL DAY LONG!!! I have a big crush on the Indian captain - Mahendra Singh Dhoni- I used to get ribbed mercilessly at S*y Sports when I worked there. The lads thought it was hilarious. I am allowed to have middle aged crushes, aren't I ?
Thank you again to all of you who have supported me through the past week. I do bounce back these days much quicker and I do feel much better now - especially with two days off.
Speak later
Hugs

No idea who the India captain is - lol, maybe I should, but I don't understand cricket!
Pleased work is going well for you and they are looking at more hours for you. What a long way you have come!
Stay positive SA, have a restful weekend and enjoy the Cricketx

Morning Aesop,
Nothing to be ashamed of - cricket is a boys thing really, isn't it? But he is quite lovely, but definitely a la Beckham - better when he keeps his mouth shut - a bit of a high, peculiar voice I am afraid. As if that would ever matter.... haha

Well i hope he is cute! Sorry Mr T squashed you!
So glad work is going well. Hopefully the hours will increase very soon.
I am off to Aldi on the bus for a food shop. Then i meet friends in the afternoon.
All is well. Birdies singing in garden, always feel like i am in Rhubarb and Custard.
