Hi all well we had a bit of a drama yesterday,OH messaged his BM to say they needed to think about organising the stag soon,he got a text back saying that him and his wife had split up and he no longer wanted to be best man as his marriage only lasted two years and he didnt want to cast a shadow over our day and it just wouldnt feel right,OH told him we was really disappointed and upset as he was the the best person for the job but we understood.he had been with his ex for many many years,she had cancer a few years ago so have been through alot so we understand how upset he must feel about the split.so OH went back to the drawing board and asked his other friend who he had considered before but he doesnt like public speaking but he was honoured to take over but nervous about messing the speech up.so drama over

I also ordered my necklace and earring set last night its very simple and delicate yet beautiful

Oh poor you and him! Sounds awful for you all. There is loads of stuff your new bm can do to help prepare for his speech help with his nerves and he has got a few months! Sounds like you were really understanding so he is lucky to have you two as friends (the first bm).

He's been a very good friend to OH for years and he's a great bloke.he will still be at the wedding but i think the fact he would have to stand and support OH on the day after his own marriage failed would all to much.im sure the new BM will be fine,we said if he makes a mistake not to worry it will more than likely be laughed off,afterall a funny speech is so much fun.

The jewellery is lovely,i wont get it till june though as its being made for me along with my tiara and 2 bracelets for my girlies.im so excited and am looking forward to trying it on all together with my dress

Next few things on the to do list are:
organise suit hire
look for flower girl dress
my shoes
book hair appointments
im trying to be super organised as i worry a lot about silly things, so dont want to be stressing close to the wedding!

Hi all well we haven't had a very good week so far,on tuesday 7.30am a pipe burst in our airing cupboard flooding our whole house,ruining a ridiculous amount of stuff.we had just finished decorating all the downstairs in december aswell.so at the moment i cant say im overly excited about the upcoming wedding.
On a brighter note though the weight loss is going fab,the app on my phone im using is fantastic.ive lost 5.5lb in 10 days

Update from me: entertainment booked, appointment to give notice is next week and I am going dress shopping on Saturday. Wooo, that sounds like progress!

On hollie's advice i've also downloaded the myfitnesspal app and so will be tracking food. I do quite a lot of exercise (london marathon in april, aaagh) but eat too much so it should be interesting!

Yes we do thank goodness,have the loss adjuster coming tomorrow i just hope my house is back to pefect before the wedding :wall:

I bought my dress today, woooooo!
