    Hi Hadley *waves*

I've got a stinking cold as well :( I don't usually get them but I've been feeling really run down lately, so I'm not surprised.

Sadly it is making me starving! Have got a cup a soup and some pittas as we'd run out of bread at the mo but know I will still be hungry afterwards :o

Great news about the band :D. I hope the ring man hurries up and gives you the quotes soon, don't they know how frustrating it is being a bride-to-be and needing to know stuff right away!!

Had a phonecall this morning from a very grumpy chap who is delivering our vases. He was most put out that they'd come in 20 separate boxes and was moaning that he had to deliver them in his own car. He asked what was in the parcels, and when I said vases, his response was "!!!!!! do you want with 20 vases?"!!! He then swore at me again when I told him the boxes would be large, fragile and heavy! He must be being paid to deliver them so you would think he would be glad of the commission. Apparently not- charming man! Just hope they turn up in one piece. Need to figure out where we're going to put them lol!

To be fair Hadley, I'm really not that organised. I haven't found a bridesmaid dress yet, I just know what colour I want. And I haven't booked suits or florist yet either, we've just figured out what we want. Finally!!

Hope you're feeling better soon xx

You should complain about that driver swearing at you!!!!
Married the absolute love of my life on Sunday May 6th and I couldnt be happier!!!

    Hi ladies

Hope everyone ok. Am feeling a bit sorry for myself as have a cold, but stuck at work.:( One good thing is that I don't feel like eating anything other than soup, the bad side of that is I need to go out and buy some.

Frustrated now as still waiting for prices on our rings!! Though the poor bloke has to work out about 3 quotes for OH and 2 for me!!

But on a positive note I think we have found the band we want, just now need to check they are still available for our date. :)
Get well soon, and hope u get your quotes soon im super imaptient when having to wait around for people lol

I'd feel bad complaining- maybe he was having a bad day. Plus I'm a little wary that he would know the complaint was from me, knows where we live and also knows what hours the house will be empty! I was just quite taken aback, it was about 7-30am and I'd rushed out of the shower to answer the phone, so was feeling a bit off guard, if you know what I mean!

Ooooooh what are your shoes like Hollie? I'm thinking of having "The wonder of you" by Elvis to dance with my Dad to. It's a special song to us and I have lots of memories of the two of us singing it into salt and pepper pots when I was little :rotfl:

    hey Tiara,

Hugs to you and hope you are feeling a bit better. I have treated myself to Chicken and sweetcorn soup - very yummy. Might cheer me up.

Thats really out of arder for the driver to swear like that - or even to moan about doing his job. But I do understand why you are weary of complaining. A diffcult one.

Do you know what sort of bridesmaids dresses you want? I want lovely full length strapless ones, but one of my maids has already requested straps of some sort which I understand as she is reather large chested. I just don't know whether I want them all to have straps to match or slightly different ones.

By the way, how is the lovely Ian Stuart dress? I am so jealous!! :rotfl:

My sister has also requested straps on her bridesmaid dress, weird huh! I fully understand her point, as she is also quite big chested and is anxious of popping out of a strapless dress!! She has also asked for nothing too tarty, she clearly has doubts about my judgement!

All of the ones I have seen so far are strapless so I can foresee problems with this. I am going to look into how do-able it would be to buy a strapless dress and then sew some straps on.

I think if you get dresses made from the same fabric/ in the same colour, then the look awesome regardless of whether some have straps and some don't :)

We will end up having matching weddings :D

    Hi everyone!

I am another August 25th 2012 bride to be! Seems like a very popular date! Fingers crossed for nice weather, especially as we have booked to get married outside next to a beautiful lake in the gorgeous gardens at our hotel!

We have booked the £1k wedding package at our local holiday inn. To book to get married outside it is an extra £150, but definitely worth that if the sun shines!

Our package includes the ceremony room hire, drinks reception sandwich buffet for 30 guest after the ceremony, evening reception room hire, DJ until 1am, evening buffet for 100 people, staff to act as toastmasters (announce us into room, announce speeches etc), private bar for the night until 1am, hotel room for us for the wedding night inc breakfast the next morning. The staff will also set up all the table decorations, etc for us and tidy them all away and keep them safe for us that night.

Really happy about the package, the deposit has been paid and we are giving our notice of marriage on the 30th August. We have got a budget of around £2000.

I have started making the invites, I got a box of 100 plain, shiny, ivory coloured cards for £7 from a local shop (they sell them in hobbycraft too!) ribbon from a local shop 30p a yard, ivory pearl look heart shaped buckle type bead things! £1.99 for 50 on ebay. I am printing the inserts and sticking them in myself too!

I am also making the bouquets, buttonholes and a corsage each for my mum and future mum in law. I am a qualified florist, but I only did a distance learning course, so never really used the qualification, but I am confident that I can do it with a bit of practise!

My fiance's nan is making my bridesmaid dresses and matching waistcoats and cravats for the boys.

I don't know what to do next! Feels like it's going soooooooooooooo slow! x
