Can you take a breather from the planning for a few weeks? Don't look at any hotels/ websites/ brochures/ anything at all wedding-related!
Give yourself a break from it all, and take a step back and work out what you want to do.
It's still over a year away, you don't need to rush into anything you're not 100% sure about. You've got plenty of time to plan it at your own pace when you've decided what you want :)

Your oh is right, you shouldn't be getting stressed, but he needs to see that he is contributing to a situation that is making you stressed!!
thank you hun, I just needed someone to listen. Everytime I say anything to OH apparently I shouldn't be getting stressed and I'm just being emotional. It just takes me a while to get my head around the changes and I need more time to think about what I want but you're right, I shouldn't be steamrolled. I want to enjoy planning our wedding not be sitting here crying about it.

Well we met with our new wedding planner yesterday - not sure she is old enough to have left school, but hey ho!!

Went through everything, fortunately, she had found some notes that the last WP had made along with copies of some old emails.

We have now had all the t's & c's which we need to read and a contract. As soon as we send it back over everything is green for go!

We also had a nice surprise in the shape of cheaper menus and better options for the hog roast in the evening! All in all, it was quite fortunate!! I can now sleep better at night!!

Thanks to everyone for your support!
    xx

I know. Now I can relax and start to enjoy the planning again!

Bought a couple of little bits over the wknd, recommended by people on here! Some 'social stirrers' and ordered and paid the deposit on my cake toppers!!! Feel more relaxed and feel that I can get excited again now!

Awww bless you :o:o:o have never been called that before!

Take it easy and give yourself a break. Some parts of wedding planning are more enjoyable than others, but if it's getting too much then having a time out can save your sanity!

I'm sure it will all fall into place when you've worked out how you want to do things :) I'm always about if you ever need to rant my dear xxx

Well I finally feel like we're making progress now :D
We've FINALLY agreed on a colour scheme and have ordered some lovely vases to use as centre pieces :D

I can now make a start on designing the save the dates, though not planning to send these out til xmas (popping them inside xmas cards to save on postage :o). We also need a few more months to finalise the guest list, as who we can invite will depend in part on how much we can save in the next 6 months or so :)

I can also start looking for a bridesmaid dress and flowers, it's just such a relief to have got a colour scheme and be able to get moving with everything else!

Ooh lovely. What colour scheme are you having? I got our save the dates about 2 months ago and was going to send them out at the beginning of July. but with all the hoo haa with the venue, we put it on hold, can now send them out!

Are you making your own invites? I am really really NOT crafty. I will probably end up having to buy them :-(

Have you got your own dress?
