We sent our day invites on Sat morning, well, all but 1 as we are waiting on a name for a new born (my cus gave birth this morn!!) so we can add him to the invite card :)

Other than that, we have not done much, we have the money but its tied up in the ISA so only wanting to use that if we have to, we will be starting again next pay day! But most of it is small final detail stuff!

I don't like to be un-organised, plus it means that money is spent in a controlled fashion and planned stages as such without having to drag money out of the ISA!

We have put the end of Oct for our RSVP's BUT we will give people more time than that if needed. We thought if we send them out now (ours is a Friday in Feb so just after all the expensive festive hols!) to give as much notice as poss to save up if needed, and get time off.... but didnt want the RSVP's to be forgoten about with the rush for Crimbo and new years.

Hello! Still sounds like everyone's done much more than me! Good to see other people's lists so I can spot what i've forgotten!!

But here's the things we have done:

    Venue booked and deposit paid
    Registrar booked and notice given
Dress designed - seamstress to confirm fabric soon
    Hairband bought
Bought loads of candles in glass holders
    Contacted (but not booked) florist
    Contacted band - tbc soon
    DJ provisionally booked (family friend)

Still have to decide ceremony wording, music, readings, speeches, men's outfits, bridesmaid's outfits, florist designs and budget, photographer, and loads more!!! Not stressedn yet, but a bit worried about getting it all done in time!

Invites are being sent at the beginning of Oct. Have bought them but need to decorate them somehow...

    Busy Busy!! :D

Hair and make up.... prob will do my own make up but need to book a hairdresser appointment for me and the girls on the morning of the day. lucky i'm not having a fancy up-do.

  • So how's everyone getting on?

I've just confirmed the details of our cake today so thought I'd see how everyone else is getting on.

Oh and have bought my wedding dress - £32.50 from e-bay!!

Oh and have sorted venue for after wedding meal but still to discuss menu.

    Slowly but surely getting there.

Not done anything since sending out the day invites!
Although either today or Monday I will be going back to where I ordered our suits from and changing a couple of things!
  • We've done a few little things since my last post, bought wedding insurance, made most of our invitations, and found the place to hire the cake stand. So much more to do, which will hopefully be done in the next few weeks.
Where is everyone planning on going on their honeymoon? We have no idea, probably won't decide until after the wedding.

Suit order tweaked and told the guys to go and get measured up
Registra forms filled in (vows/legals picked and music selected)

Will pop into registry office at some point tomorrow to pay for it!

Honeymoon - no idea, but chances are we will probably sort this out after the wedding than worry about it before hand... I still need to get a passport as mine ran out ages ago... no point renewing now just to waste 5 months of it!
