Well trying to push for the invites to go out the door in the next few weeks so pushing forward with getting them designed. OH had a bit of a stress moment as she could not get done what she wanted (we are DIYing) so gone with a simple ribbon band with text. More or less got it licked now but just tweaking the font and the wording.

BM dress has been bought, delivered, tried on and got the approval of the OH

Table centers arrived the other day (small cup cake holders)

Flowers - awaiting for a quote to come through the door but they are been a bit slow about it.

So really, we are now down to the fine detail stuff and getting everything set in stone and glued down. Budget has not stopped climbing though - now on ~7.2k when our budget was 6k - and thats with not having to pay for a number of expensive things!
  • we're sending our invites out in October... tradition states 3 montsh before :)
  • how's everyone getting on?

Erm, paid deposit for celebrant and that's it!! Really need to get a move on. Next month I am going to look for a dress with my witness but just too laid back about whole thing. Oops

We went Ring shopping yesterday. Going by the prices we were given I think we're going to have to buy them sooner rather than later as metal prices are shooting up! :(

Going to make our Save the Date cards tonight. :j

Then heading back up home for a few days in a weeks time to sort out:

    1. Wedding photographer
    2. Mens Suits: I've already picked them out just need Groom to approve. Have managed to get them for £260 from Tailosr where I got my dress from for 5 instead of £500 from Debenhams!
    3. Get to see and try my dress on for the fisrt time!!!! :T:T:T
    4. Visit venue to discuss decorations and format of the day
    5. To ask my Brothers girlfriend to be my Bridesmaid:dance:
    6. Sort the florist out

    So much still to do!
Turning our clutter to top up our house deposit: £3000/£303.05 we're on our way!

  • Why not Sharpee? ... I was going to do snowflake bookmarks, but would have worked out too expensive - so now doing snowflake organza bags with silver covered chocolate balls :) The children are having the same and also having a bag of activities!
