I hope so too... but just been doing a bit of digging... it appears that as the item was sold in full, and the item has been earmarked to the sale rahter than bought and then ordered in, then its hers and the liquidator/administrator should be contacted if appointed and the customer has trouble getting the item. The trouble comes when the item is not allocated, or a deposit has only been paid then you will need to claim off insurance/credit card... hopefully it wont have to come to that as the manger said it was at her house rather than storage.

So hopefully everything is pointing too a good outcome one way or another. The item was paid for my the OH's mum on debit card (always against my advice esp in the cases of ordering stuff thats not in your possesion!) but the wedding insurance should cover most of the cost.... but at the end of the day be it a £150 dress (well, £850 knocked down to £150!) or a £10,000 dress - its the dress she wanted and loved regardless of price.

I feel sorry for those (around 300 B2D's apparently) left in the lurch - esp ones with very little time to go

    Glad to hear that SplanK.

We've been told about a fantastic String Quartet that don't charge a small fortune today so that looks like another thing off our list.

    Main things now are:

    1. To buy the Dress: Off this week with my mum#

    2. To find a photogragher

    3. Decide if we really need a cake

I've just signed our venue & string quartet contracts, ready to post tomorrow. After a stressful 3 days I have finally made a decision about my dress, even if it is more than I budgeted for not very MSE. Now just need to find a photogragher

Another Feb 2012 bride here. We've picked the 29th to be different and have booked the celebrant so far and that's it. I must be the most laid back bride to be but sure that bound to change!! We having a very small wedding ceremony with only 8 people including ourselves but then a massive party in May!!

  • 26th Feb here, but it's not a Wedding as such but a Vow renewal. we got married 8 years ago in Australia(as we lived there at the time) but we only had 4 people there. We have never celebrated our anniversary in July. We celebrate when we met in Feb, hence the date. We are hopefully moving back to Oz next year so the hubby wanted to do it again, but properly. A bit similar to you laaljocky.

Hey nikkiemac8 we share the same date! :j

So far we've booked the venue, registrar and bought the dress. Really should be looking for a florist and photogragher . . .
