Thats what my h2b did. He wanted to go to the Gold cup, at Olivers Mount in Scarborough - so they all went there for the weekend in September...
The nigt before the wedding, he is staying at the hotel with my (12 year old) son, and 40 other guests (who are staying 2 nights), whilst i have a night at home with my bridesmaids.
Hope you have a fab time! The newest Mrs Lindley...... I married my Welsh Soulmate on 11-11-11 xxx0 -
So got a lot done last weekend.
Had our menu tasting, the food was gorgeous and we can give our guests a choice. We've decided to limit it to 3 choices per course and the chef said he would do extra portions of the meat and put extra vegatables on the table.:)
Got my Bridesmaid dress. She's been fantastic said she would wear what I wanted. :TBought the first dress she tried on! Although it had a click in it so I went home and bought it online. Was £100 in the shop, had £20 off online and I had a voucher from one of the big papers that gave an extra 15% off last friday. So got it for £68! :jBargain as it can be worn again, by both of us, as its not too weddingly!
Went to a wedding fair at out venue and looks like I've sorted the cake too.
Now just need to get in gear and sort out the Wedding invites!:(Turning our clutter to top up our house deposit: £3000/£303.05 we're on our way!0 -
Stag and Hen do's out of the way now (well, the main ones, will probably have a couple of smaller, less enrgetic gatherings closer to the time)....
All but 2 day guests have responded - the 2 outstanding will let us know closer to the time
Going to start sorting out the evening invites soon - probably send them out start of December0 -

Hiya!
What is it about the 18th thats making it so popular in Feb!0 -
Well we were aiming for the 17th which was the date of our first date but felt it was unfair to expect our guests to take a day off workTurning our clutter to top up our house deposit: £3000/£303.05 we're on our way!0

We're getting married then as only date that was available0

Today had another "splurg" on doing wedding stuff...
Bought the music (didnt have them on CD's already so bought them as MP3's from Amazon and will burn them to indivudal CD's. Going for:
Guest entrance: Brian Crain - Moonlit Shore / Brian Crain - 2 Spirits Soar
Walking in to: Jonathan Cain (Journey) - Bridal March
Registrar signing: Ludovico Einaudi - I Giorni
Exit ceremony: Mamas and Papas - Make Your Own Kind of Music
First Dance: Adele - Make you Feel My Love
Ordered the cancer research favor cards (they can take up to a month for delivery), finished off the evening invites and are now ready to be handed out.
Ordered a few little things from ebay for table decorations. Was going to order the chocs for the favors but with the weather still been quite mild, decided against it for now until the weather drops of and we can store them in one of the cooler rooms.0 -
Is anyone doing their own music, I am having a mini meltdown. I have been calm about everything so far. Very blase in fact, I have no idea what I'm doing lolMAR GC /£346
