Silly as it sounds, your dream is probably right - remember it's YOUR wedding, not a show wedding! You won't even notice on the day! Have you decided what you are going to do yet?
Nothing weddingy here I'm afraid, everything is done now for the time being.
lol Natalie, not too long till you can use it for real!
Thinking of the old "Mr and Mrs" thing - I've just been thinking... We are not going to have a joint bank account as OH has a really poor credit rating that I don't want to be linked with. Not meaning to pre empt presents, but if we were to get any cheques for "Mr and Mrs XXXXX" would we still be able to cash them in one of our own accounts?
xThs signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it...0 -
Someone remind me why I decided to do our own stationery?! Lol It's taken me 1 hr 15mins to:
Label with full address 8 envelopes.
Put stamps on said envelopes.
Stuff these 8 envelopes into 8 blank envelopes.
Put stamps on these envelopes. (These are my family/friends thank you cards).
Put 8 writable CDs inside these envelopes.
Put our full names on a further 14 envelopes.
Stuff these 14 envelopes into 14 blank envelopes. (These are MrD's family/friends thank you cards).
Cut up 1 sheet of A4 red card into four, score along the middle of these and fold them in half.
Cut up scraps of white card (from my samples/paper hearts) to create the blank insert for the cards.
Stuck said blank insert onto one side of the inside of the 4 folded cards. (Single side of white insert with the red card as a border.)
*sigh*
Got 18 more cards to cut and fold, inserts to make.
Right off to go print out the 'thank you' front to stick on the front of the cards - then I'll take a quickie photo to show you what I'm making.0 -
well the dj isnt fully decided, im waiting for our venue to get back to me with a contact number for their usual dj as apparently he will be quite cheap (and my cousin used their dj about 2 yrs ago and they were good). Once ive spoken to that dj I can make a decision.
Mel- Im pretty sure if you have a cheque in both names it has to be paid into a joint account, we have a joint account for all our bills and our wedding account is a joint account so we are fine.0 -

It is really nice and am please with it so have ordered it for the rest of my bridemaids as well.
No more wedding things to comment on at the mo I'm afraid.0 -
lauralobby in the end it is what you are happy with. I was not sure what I wanted to start off with but the more I looked at things the more I realised what I did not like xx0

Perhaps - lol now I know I'm not one to talk here (as I'm sat trying to get my head around why windows 2000 is so rubbish and then realising it's because it's windows... so I can print out my thank you fronts)... perhaps you should just stop doing anything weddingy for a little bit and concentrate on getting a lovely bump
(Not fat!).
The venue you've chosen could they do a marquee or something outside so you could have more guests?
x0 -
Thats exactly how I started Tracey - eliminating things I hated
It soon led me to what I wanted
(:T that your mirror came - is it as good as you hoped?)

The mirror is gorgeous and so much cheaper than it would be to get it in an engraving shop. Am so happy that it is nice (thought it might be tacky). Just need to sort out the usher gifts now. We are thinking of pocket watches from the same person but don't want to order them to early in case they stop working xx0
