And Natalie- thats a shame you may not be able to do the boat diving, bt im sure whatever you choose will still be amazing. Will the moving house be after the wedding?
Im happy to stay in our house as long as poss, I cant be doing with all the hassle (we had quite a bit when buying our house and had to pull on 2 other houses due to idiot sellers both times!!) and upheavel. Our house is quite small but will big enough for us when we eventually have a baby so im staying here as long as poss.:D0 -
Yea - we're in no real rush to move.
Just you know the "wouldn't it be nice to have..." kinda conversations. We've had a lot with this house - installing central heating/radiators was the biggest thing. But I would like to live in a more remote area - not that we're crowded here in the suburbs... but I would prefer to just be more isolated lol.
Will have a read of your list later - in the laws are on their way round to see the newest addition to our household - an absolute stunning Gin Rin Tancho Kohaku Koi fish.(I'll share photos with you all later too)

Our new fishy
I can't think of anything you've missed out EmmaHow do you feel? Like you've managed to get more organised/thought about than you thought? Or realised how much there is left to do?

We have made the decision that in 5 years time we'll start looking for a new house.
(Which means we won't pour money into this house - any more than we need to to get it into a saleable state anyway).
We've also agreed: This year we will get the downstairs toilet finished, and plaster/decorate the dinning room (which is also our hall), stairs and landing. In preparation for our wedding. We'll get the garden sorted/tided again in preparation for our wedding. We will probably just do a normal holiday in August with some diving trips included, rather than a liveaboard. (Not too disappointed by that really - I don't want to rush too fast into this diving malarki, this way it can be say our 10 year wedding anniversary). And MrD has agreed that next year he probably won't do every round of the bike racing season (same as this year). It's great when a plan comes together.
All this talk about moving though has given him a bit of a kick up the bum, cause as I type this he is filling in the hole in the floor (concrete) in the dinning room/lounge from where he channelled the radiator pipes in.:T

Hi Natalie- I feel like most of it is all in hand, theres not that much to do really considering I have over 14 months to go, a lot of the outstanding bits are all bits that have to be done closer to the time, or things i havent made my mind up about yet so dont want to rush into making a decision I will change my mind about in 6 months time. I may go order my petticoat soon so that would be another rick off the list!!
Thats a pretty sparkly fish (sorry I dont know anything about fish but it does look all sparkly!!:rotfl:)
Glad youve sorted out a plan, have you decided where your august holiday will be?0 -
I'm still contemplating the red sea.
I still plan on spending most of our time in the water wherever we go lol. I need to research where we can go at our level of experience that will be fab.
And you're right - he is a sparkly fishyHe's been playing nicely with the other Koi so we're very happy indeed.

If your still planing on doing a lot of diving then im sure it would be ok, as youll be cooling down in the water all the time.
I think we have decided on Turkey but as neither of us have been there (and to be honest at first I it didnt really stand out to me) we are just a bit unsure and just want to be sure before we book it. I would rather book it soon though as Im worried priced will start to creep up.0 -
