Oh fab news Laura. How kind of them, i bet if you werent pregnant you would be doing lots of this:j, maybe stick to just doing this:D!!0
-
Lol we'll just have to :j for her instead :j:j:j - fab news LauraR!! :T
MrD has been to turkey back in his yooof (lol) he enjoyed it but it was a lads holiday lol say no more! I would be tempted to go there... lol I have this thing that I really want to go outside Europe so I can get my passport stamped!! But you're right -it's another one of those "OMG what if I change my mind/what if it's the wrong one" decision to make isn't it. God knows what I'll be like when I actually come to booking our honeymoon!!0 -
Heh heh I'm sat on moonpig personalising various cards - trying to make MrD a cross between 'on our wedding day' and 'on our anniversary' card. :T Lol it's one of the very few things left that I can actually sort out!0
-
Well I guess my passport will be nice and new so would be good to get a stamp in it- my old one only had one and that was from Florida!!
Well the one ive seen would give us exactly what we want, a nice hotel, 5 star, all inclusive, flights on the monday after we get married, is 13 years plus so no young children running about, has good reviews on tripadvisor (especially on things like food which is good for a fusspot like me) and it seems to be a in quiet resort, but is within reasonable distance to a busier town. I have researched into Greece and nothing stands out as being as nice or nicer than the turkey one, and i have been looking a Cape Verde but the one hotel I found that offers some adult only sections looks like it only opened this month so no reviews.
Oh that reminds me I must order my funky pigeon thank you cards on payday!!0 -
It really does sound like an ideal honeymoon Emma,
But I can totally understand your hesitation!! The only Greek island (I've been to that) I would consider recommending for that wowness would be Kefalonia, but I'd have no idea if there was any adult only all inclusive places. I'd be tempted to go back there myself - if there was better diving around Greek islands! (Actually I haven't researched Kefalonia - I know Rhodes isn't too good/pretty).
I have just ordered my moonpig card for MrD. I tried Funky Pigeon but I struggled to find one that I liked, and that the words suited what I wanted. I don't know if I was missing something but on Moonpig you can pretty much re-write everything, not just insert peoples names. I've got for a card that I've changed to say: "To my groom... on our wedding day." Then on the inside it says "I cannot wait to be your wife." I will write a passage along the "13 years ago our eyes met across a smokey dance floor.. who would have thought that would have led to this" line.So I can give it to him the night before when I pack him off to his mums
(I'm coming round to the idea of not spending the night before together and not seeing each other till we're at the registry office).
Right what else can I organise?!0 -
Ive may look into Kefelonia, I wouldnt be too bothered about it not being an adult only hotel if I thought it was the kind of resort that may not attract too many families. Ive been to Zante and it was lovely, would definately go there again but want the honeymoon to be a bit more special.
Im going for the 'I cannot wait to be your wife' card from Funky pigeon, I always say I cant wait to marry you, I cant wait to be Mrs H etc so this one will be keeping with my obsession of marrying him!! haha.
Im going to look for some nice thank you cards next. Dont want to spend too much so hoping they will have some nice ones on ebay!!0 -

I got my invitations really cheaply from ebay - try this guy http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/mickh4674/?_trksid=p4340.l2559 I got them from him and he posted really quickly. The cards are good quality too for the price.
You lot are all so romantic with your cards and things:D I wish I was a better girlfriend, I don't do anything like that
Nothing new here, we are holding off on honeymoons for a while. I'd love to go to my theme park in America but it's gonna cost a fortune, and the sensible mse side of me is saying that the money would be much better off as savings for a house deposit... unfortunately OH doesn't have a sensible mse side and is doing his level best to persuade me! :rotfl:
xxThs signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it...0 -
Heh heh was that FORTUNATELY or unfortunately0
-
oh thanks Mel, i shall go look at his items for sale now.
Hehe, im not the romantic at all but I think this card will be quite a nice thing for my oh to open on the morning of our wedding.
hehe, your doing very well not to give in and just go for the honeymoon, I would have given in and had it booked by now!!:rotfl:0 -
Me too - I'd have had it booked before anything else weddingy pmsl!0
