    Promised photos:
Firstly the inside of the gatefold design with a red inner. (This is my fave to date, ignore the black ribbon - I quite liked it but MrD said it looked like a funeral invite. We'll go for a red ribbon of some sort regardless of the rest of the invite... I think lol.) Remember this has a white outside when it's folded up, similar to the gatefold design below.

Then I had a play with another 'petal' fold design - essentially created an envelope. Wasn't too keen, and MrD said it looked more home made that the one above.

Then I thought I'd try the gatefold design using the other design I liked... but seeing it printed out I'm not so keen. It is far too busy.

Right I'm off to go and chip out some plaster for a new lightswitch. :)

Lol I haven't moved since I last posted... I have just sat and costed up how much the materials (minus glue, and ink for printing) would cost to produce 40 invites for the gatefold wordcloud design. Including postage... it would cost around 53p per A6 invite. I wonder how much 'proper' ones tend to cost.

(PS I have emailed PDA to see if they do a one sided red card in A6 lengthways gatefold card with the red on the inside lol not too much to ask for!)

Cor the guys at PDA are as sad as me!! Just had an email from them to say they have a one sided card and if I put a message in the notes box when I place an order they will crease them the 'wrong' way for me so the red is on the inside.

I have just placed an order for a sample to see what the red looks like.

I have just signed MrD and I up for the theory side of the diving course. This is the first real step towards our wedding!!! Yaaaaaaaaay!
(Oh and I've also been looking at when it is best to get our garden sorted for the party - I want it turfing. Exciting!)
  • LauraLou:j for almost having the cars sorted, I still have a few more weeks till the big wedding fayre I want to go to!

MrsDrink:j for booking part of the diving course and:j for all those invite attempts- they all look good, i think the white and red is nicer than the black and red ones.

Well I have my shoes, such an ebay bargain, I had budgeted £50 for my shoes but then bidded for some brand new in box ones on ebay and got them for the bargain price of 99p plus £4.99 p&p, and they have arrived and I love them!:)

Also had found a photographer within budget, checked his calender and he was pretty empty in 2012- apart from typically my date so then I had a look around and have found a different one whose pictures look good and hes really reasonable- have sent him an email and hes free:j, so just need to check with my oh but may book that soon- he offers from a few hrs to a full day, but im thinking just a few hrs will be enough.

Ooo that is exciting!! Shame about the first photographer but I'm sure the second one will be just as perfect! I'm still amazed by you lot when you write "within budget" cause I just have no idea where to start making a budget up - and what would count as MSE and what wouldn't!
  • Hey MrsDrink, I cant put any pics up at the mo for 2 reasons 1) I dont know how and 2) Ive hidden them for my oh so cant get them out again till hes out! When I learn how to though Ill attempt it!

My budget is 'the cheaper the better':rotfl:!! Ive done a spreadsheet where ive given most things an expected cost and I dont plan on going over that expected cost. Our budget is quite small, but im such a bargain hunter that so far all my expected costs have come in on budget or under:). Ive got the expected costs from googling and also have got ideas of prices from my friends and family who have got married recently.
