wanchai I'm super excited for your wedding too!! looking forward to pics, like MrsDrink. I'm super excited for ALL of our weddings. I love weddings!!

no garter here either. I did think about it, but thought it was a bit of a waste of money.

been to the venue today to go over any last bits - not that there was much to discuss, but I felt a need to go in and see them. It was basically me saying a list of things we will be dropping off, and her asking me questions that were generally answered with 'yeah, whatever'. they're doing our decorations in the morning and, apart from our letters for the mantlepiece, I just told her to put whatever she likes wherever she likes. I felt happier for it though, and we both had yummy breakfast burritos!!

OHs ring is this one - just got to wait for it to arrive now! should be here tuesday.

I said I would post my to do list. I don't really want to look at it though!! Still to do:

    - find a bra
    - design table signs DONE!
    - print and assemble table signs
    - decorate jam jars
    - wear in shoes
    - get hair cut (next saturday)
    - complete kids favour bags
    - make hairband
    - book taxi's for wedding morning
    - make music playlist
    - put playlist on to ipod and listen through
    - put 'emergency kit' together
    - finish and print vendor spreadsheet
    - make and print day of timeline
    - make and print packing list
    - buy sweets for favours
    - make favour tags
    - pack sweets bags and tie
    - tie tags to glasses
    - make sign for cards box
    - buy/make thank you cards
    - buy/make grooms card
    - buy confetti
    - pay remaining honeymoon balance
    - take up DDs dress
    - take in halterneck on MoH's dress
    - finish tying DDs posy
    - collect flowers (19th)
    - make bouquets
    - make buttonholes
    - make table arrangements
    - confirm ceremony details (reading & music) with registrar
    - finish painting letters
    - buy charm for bouquet
    - print photo for charm

that list takes us up to the day before, when there are lots of other jobs (like take buttonholes to family, take reception stuff to venue, get blowdry done, etc) but it's my to do list for right now.

currently designing the table signs so I can cross that one off!!

I am super excited about your wedding Wanchai - I cannot wait to see the piccies!! :D
I think when you've done the deed then it'll REALLY hit home to me how close our wedding is.

Sorry I haven't commented much on everyone's posts at the moment - lol as you know we were away, then I was shattered, and now the DIYing has taken over again. :) I am definitely reading them all though :)

I bet you are exhausted Natalie - I get tired just reading your posts lol.

Thanks for the kind words girls. I cannot believe that in 5 days it will be the night before our wedding!!!!! I am starting to freak out just a tiny bit.

I've posted a link to our e-shoot on FB btw :) The pics are FAB! xxx

GL - hope that the passport arrives soon, but a UK minimoon would be lovely too xx

SKS - your OH's ring is lovely and a bargain! :T I love reading everyone's to-do lists and thinking 'oh, I've done x, y and z' and then having a moment of panic when I see something that I haven't even thought of! :rotfl: I am sure that there will be things that simply don't get done, but it won't be the end of the world unless it's something very important lol.

It's nice to see a long to do list like mine!! :D Our DIY list currently stands at around 24 jobs! :) I have just written 'wear in wedding shoes' to my list of things to do - I'll do that one night this week. :)

Yup!! We really are focusing on the honeymoon and relaxing then!! (Although doing 2 dives each day for the first 5days won't be all that relaxing physically).

4 hours' sleep!!!!! I definitely need to catch up over the week.

Natalie - ooh, the countdown is really on for you now!!!!! :D

Last night while I was awake, I emailed the venue, photographer, DJ and band with queries that had been playing on my mind, dug out everyone's thank you gifts, stamped the cake table sign and rewrote my to do list!! So I definitely have time for a nap today at some stage :rotfl:

    Happy Monday everyone :)

biscuitmad and Sharon, are you both off work now? Can't believe that we're getting hitched this weekend!!!!!!!! xxx

Right ladies am i being all traditional and ordering a garter for the wedding day ;)

what are you all doing? Garter or no garter?

I am wearing one even though i will be bared legged. It was of the few things H2B asked of me. I do fear it will become an anklet during the ceremony so i may not put it on until near 'bedtime' :rotfl:

Is that fake bake the one you have to leave on overnight to cook then you shower it off in the morning? Is it easy?

As some of you know from FB it was the Hen/Stag night. ooohhh we were both so poorly. Never, ever mix cocktails ladies, its not big and its not clever :rotfl:I am just tired today and H2B was awake half the night after I reminded him we only have 2 weekends to go. He now has that nervous excitiment too and has been sloppily emailing me all morning at work. Bless him.

So today i must address my 'to do' list and really get things ticked off. I may put it up on here later so you scan it and see what i have missed.

Wrap wine charms and label up the favour bags
Add photobucket details to favour bags
Cut and prepare pom poms to size.
    Design a table plan!!
    Make table plan
    Purchase pens for Guest table
Decorate grooms gift box and wrap gifts.
    Purchase parent gift?? (Rose bush??)
    Little something for my teens?
    Purchase ribbon for grooms car

That are a few things that spring straight to mind. There is alot going on in the week before which i haven't added yet. So now i have them actually written down i will start to tick things off. I plan on finishing and sealing the favor bags tonight with BM's help.

    Happy Monday brides!!

oh no, I'm already having to add things to my list from your lists!!

I don't know what to do about thank you gifts. We aren't going them for MoH/best man as we are buying her dress and his shoes so that's their gifts. I should do something for my mum and OHs parents, as they've contributed money, but don't know what. It won't be presented at the reception, as there's no speeches, but still need something. Doing cards for everyone too.

LOL at the garter/anklet comment, that's what put me off too!!!! :rotfl:

Yes, you put on FB at night and shower in the morning. This is my third practice, it doesn't streak and fades really well. :D

Ooooh, how sweet that your OH was kept awake by the excitement!!! :A

I've been doing this as well lol!!!!

Re gifts, we have done them for MOH, BM, our altar server (my friend's daughter), the friend who did our stationery and our mums. We haven't spent a lot, I've spent the most on my mum as she has done the most and she is an angel :A
