Janet - we only decided this weekend that we ought to buy a parent gift. They haven't contributed anything financially and both sets live hours away but we thought perhaps a rose bush for each. That would travel home better than flowers and hopefully they will flower every year for them.

If any one has any ideas they would be gratefully received. (Have you noted that i am assuming that in laws are coming, positive attitude i think they call it!) x

Just doing my promise book now. It is taking FOREVER with all the individual letter stamps but will be so worth it when OH sees it. :)

I've also done all my sweet jars, I need more as I have so many sweets! OH is going to bring more Kilner jars to the venue on Thurs (we have tons lol), he is going to have to decant the pasta and cous cous that's in them into something else ha ha ha!!!!

Also FINALLY finalised my table plan. Our numbers are now 95 (inc. me and OH) - 125 were invited!!!!

My mum is 61 and his parents are both 73. His mum is what i call a label snob and size does matter. If one person had more than her she'd soon say something!! So i think i'm safer buying the same gift for sets. My mum wouldn't expect anything and she'll be over moon with the handmade favors.

Afternoon ladies!! Well I'm sat here writing in my wedding shoes :D Exciting!! Ha!! I've got tights on as well to see how much that adds to the slippage and I'm now worried cause they do slip a bit. Looking at the gapat my ankle when i stand up I'm wondering whether some of those gel grips would be enough. :) Am thinking of ordering some online with quick delivery.

The chalk has arrived so we can finish leveling the new patio area and then beginning to lay the slabs loose on top.

No information on the interview date yet. :( But looking at the positive - we get the 'minimoon' and the honeymoon. :D

We have nothing left to prepare now other than writing the vows and weaving the handfasting cords. Mr Ghostlove is doing the latter as he is really into his knotwork and is very fast and clever at weaving. All I can do is a basic three-strand plait so I'll be helping a little with that but other than that it's all his job. :P We bought the ribbons today - black, ivory and three shades of purple. :D
I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

Wanchai, that sounds lovely! we used individual letter stamps to print our place settings, but used a bulldog clip to hold them together so we could print whole words at a time. It saved so much time! Annoyingly it was OH's idea :rotfl:

*back to lurking for me I think* Not long now, ladies - am very excited for you!

I can't remember who suggested it but I'm sat here with 8 layers of fabric plaster tape wrapped around my ankles/heels - they are un-slipping now so I'm going to order some more tape for the big day & party. 8 layers though!! That is just ridiculous - yet if I went for half a shoe size smaller my feet would have been too long for them!!

I am loving them though :) after all my shoe wobbles - I actually love them lol. The heel is ridiculously high (11.5cm according to the Rainbow club website) and I won't be able to walk around outside on the day of the party cause I'll sink in the grass lol. But they are a very sexy heel :)
