Hello all!

Well, I got our dresses and my veil and got home to my mum's amidst a flurry of bags, boxes and suitcases!! We had a lovely chilled out evening last night and I suddenly feel so relaxed and Zen. All the panic and running around has been so worth it. I still have a few bits to do but all the major stuff is done. So relieved.

Natalie - glad that you had a fab weekend with MrD and yay for your friends' generosity!

BB - oooh, let's see pics of the favours :A

SB - you've been sooo productive!!! :T

SKS - yay for your OH's ring! :j What's it like?

Emma - quite the to-do list you have there lol! Better get cracking

GL - any sign of the passport yet?

Right ladies am i being all traditional and ordering a garter for the wedding day

No garter here - but that isn't that strange given how little we are doing that is traditional

Well - house jobs wise.
The downstairs toilet is running behind schedule - I was hoping it'd be finished by tonight but that isn't going to happen. MrD hasn't been able to get to the builders & plumbers to get all the bits he needs. BUT what is left to do isn't *that* great - a couple more nights and they will be done.
Patio outside - well I did a good job today clearing all the plants/weeds from the patch of land where the patio will sit. I also removed a load of rubble and paving off cuts to the skip (which came on Friday). So a day or two there and that will be done.
MrD has taken a week tomorrow off (the day before the wedding) to finish any bits off.
After the lovely relaxing weekend we've had it's back to the long slog for one final push then we can sit back and be proud at what we've pulled off.... hopefully :rotfl:

No garter either! I have seen some amazing ones from Lux & Love though xx

Hello wanchai - great to hear you're relaxing at your Mum's - well deserved! I posted my prototype favour on FB a wile ago (coaster & love hearts in a purple organza bag); I just assembled the rest, and bagged them up by table for the staff to put out.

MrsDrink - I'm always impressed by how much you're doing. I feel like I've had a busy weekend of wedding crafting, but it's nothing like what you've been doing.

StokieBecks - I won't have a garter either. I'll have bare legs, so it would be a bit pointless!

OH finally finished making back up copies of our 3 wedding CDs (prelude music, ceremony music and wedding breakfast music), so that's one more thing done - 13 things left. Wedding co-ordinator was off today, so a couple of things have to wait. Want to get the to-do list down to ten, then I'll feel nearly done. Bring on the Zen relaxation time! :rotfl:

Well Ive done most of the place name cards tonight- well thats a lie, oh did them! It took him a while and quite a few wasted cards but we have all but one table done, but we ran out of cards (needed 8 only had 5 left) so have had to order some more, but the bulk is done!:D When we have the new place name cards we will finish them off, make table name cards, print out photo game and do my photo charm.

I have also emailed the photographer the group list and Ive text the chair cover people (had previously been messaging them on facebook but they hadnt replied to that) so fingers crossed they will reply soon.

Im not wearing a garter- I think it would really annoy me!!

Natalie- thats good MrD has taken the day before the wedding off.

I'm starting to get major butterflies!!!! And the urge to try on my dress is overwhelming! :rotfl:

Aw, thanks BabyBoots!!! Zen time is fab Mind you, I have sent a few emails today to the venue and photographer, so I am still 'on duty', just don't have to go to work lol. Looking forward to a few lie ins! xx

I am super excited about your wedding Wanchai - I cannot wait to see the piccies!!
I think when you've done the deed then it'll REALLY hit home to me how close our wedding is.

Sorry I haven't commented much on everyone's posts at the moment - lol as you know we were away, then I was shattered, and now the DIYing has taken over again. I am definitely reading them all though
