Well I have painted two walls so far
It is looking great!!
Photos will follow when it's complete and the carpet is down, I promise.
Need a trip to B&Q though - running out of masking tape and there is no way what I've got left is going to do the first coat let alone another three.
Ha yep - a more detailed DIY list.Although it has now freaked me out - I was feeling really in control and calm - the wedding side of things is absolutely fine - it's all time tabled and I'm happy. But now I've broken the DIYing down into all it's components I'm beginning to panic! ARGH! Why the **** didn't we just hire a venue!! *reminds self to just think about when it's all over and we're married with a beautifully decorated house...*
Right this isn't getting any painting done or getting more masking tape!0 -
Good luck MrsDrink with all your decorating
I have decoded I am having a wedding free day today. Done bits and oieces every day for weeks and weeks and just want a day off today£2 Savers Club for 2022 #120 -

It's not so much the cost but more that it wasn't clear from the start when the whole package was booked else I would have included it straight away - it is only through doing a bit of research I have found out.
Still... Will have to find the pennies somehow I guess.
That is bad that it wasn't clear upfront. Might be a point of negotiation?
Natalie - is it a coloured paint day yet? I'm excited for your coloured paint! I'm dying to decorate our house.
OH's clothes arrived this morning - at flipping 8:20am, waking us all up including the baby! - and they all fit! he looked quite nice. smarter than usualgot another pair of shorts coming next week as they were out of stock. the ones today are quite grey as I had suspected but we will try dying them as suggested if we stick with this pair.
Today's wedding plans include.. making OH look at rings online, have a go at making the guestbook signing thingy, order some tissue paper for pom pom making :T0 -
Well so much for non wedding day. I have just finished decorating the post box for the party£2 Savers Club for 2022 #120

Meeting with the photographer went well, he seems really nice and it was so useful speaking with him, really helped plan the day out, and we have gone for the extra hours, so now will have him for 4 hours (originally booked for just 2 hours). The plan is:
He will come to my mums and taking some pics of me ready to go
Go down to the venue and take a few of oh and best man
Take pictures throughout the ceremony
Group photos, aiming to finish at 4
Send everyone else on to reception and me and oh will go somehwere for more pics
We will aim to be at the reception for 5, where he can take more photos, speeches will be done first so he can get pics and he will do a mock cake cut.
Food will be served about 5.30, so he can take some pics of things like the cake, sweetie table etc and he will probably get some candid pics of guests before they start eating.
Its really helped speaking with him today, I just need now to go to the venue and just run the plans past them to check that fits in ok.
He suggested I took some flat shoes incase we have to a bot of walking trying to get the right pictures- I see that as 'you need to buy some new shoes', so now I need to get some flat pumps I can just chuck on!!
Natalie- cant wait to see some pics of it all done, it will definately be worth it.
We have decided if people insist they want to get us presents we would like the gift cards you can get at the post office, they can be used in so many places they will definately be handy (including jessops so we could use them towards some nice printed photos.) I have tried saying we dont want gifts but work are insisting, and so Ive decided I would rather ask for these than feel uncomfortable if they gave cash.
StokieBecks- doesnt sound like your 'non' wedding day is going according to plan!!:D
:j 6 weeks today!!0 -
You get married same day as me pinkprincess£2 Savers Club for 2022 #120

Well Ive ordered my shoes, Ill share of facebook which ones I got, just incase anyone see this!!
Also ordered a lovely photoframe for both our Mums.0 -
Had to change my strapless bra for under my dress today the original was just too tight
still I'd rather go up a number and be comfortable.
I have glued the buttons on the front of the menu/place cards but that's all I have got done I will crack on to tomorrow. Only 4 more weekends to get stuff done. *gulp*
family news - MIL2b had a pacemaker fitted last Monday. She's fallen really ill with a reaction to the drugs and has been rushed back to hospital. So OH might have to make the 5 hour round trip tomorrow although she's insisting he leave her alone. So really torn tonight. If he goes she'll be moody and moan at him (already had a go at him on the phone!) but if he doesn't go she'll say he doesn't care!! Grrrr families, who'd have them?!0 -
Emma - where did you get the photo frames? And yay for shoe shopping encouragement from your tog!
xx
SKS - delighted about your OH's clothes, that's fab  Any luck with your OH's ring or the guest book?
StokieBecks - yay for your post box!
Natalie - as usual, I'm knackereed just reading your post :rotfl:
Today I have:
Decorated a few more jam jars with fabric, hessian and lace
Cut out lots of gorgeous pics for our guest book
Emailed and called a few guests about dietary requirements
Called to OH's mum's and collected some baby pics of him to display(just have to sort through my own now!)
Made OH de-label another half dozen jam jars (bless him)
Tried to decide what on earth to get for remaining thank you gifts, esp for OH!!
This evening we are going for dinner (the Groupon voucher) and I am going to eat sensibly, not drink (I'm driving to avoid any temptation!!) and attempt to shut up about the wedding for a few hours. :rotfl:7 Feb 2012: 10st7lbs14 Feb: 10st4.5lbs
