Oh God, my to-do list is HUGE and I am getting very stressed...

My wedding dreams usually involve suddenly realising its the wedding day and not having everything sorted!!- Like suddenly realising that one of the bigger things isnt booked! Or the last 2 have been waking on the day of the wedding to suddenly realise its the wedding day and then getting a bit upset that me and oh were together in the house on the morning of the wedding and panicking we were going to get bad luck!!:rotfl:

Oh has had his suit fitting so thats one more thing to tick of the to do list!!

Wanchai- I love your present idea of h2b.

SKS- :j thats your finally getting somewhere with oh deciding about a ring!!

See I'm getting worried because you lot are all stressing and saying you've got loads to do, but I am pretty much done? So now you are stressing me out in case I've forgotten something major and am not stressing enough lol!

My to do list:

• Pay DJ
• Meet venue and finalise last few details.
• Pay venue
  
• Try on bra with dress (tomorrow)
• If bra is ok, buy pants to go with it
• If bra not ok, panic :eek:
• Get my Nan to do the dress alterations (2 weeks time)
  
• Check with hairdresser about hair appointment
  
• Buy ribbons for cake and postbox
• Wrap postbox and decorate
  
• Print directions inserts to go in OOS
  
• Tie tags to favour bags
  
• Collect cake from M&S (Thurs 19th July)

And that's it! I honestly can't think of anything else (and this is broken down into tiny bits just so I can tick more things off - yes I do that too Nat lol)

Because there are 4 less people than we thought coming to the day do, that's saved us about £90 so I have spent an extra £49 on having the photographer for an extra hour. He's now going to be there from 1.30 at the church to catch the guests arriving, then he'll travel to the reception and hang around there till about half 4 which will be just about right, can't be doing with him all day!

When I went to my friends wedding last week it was really wierd - you'd just be talking to someone and the photographer would just suddenly appear and take a picture, it was horrible! He was a nice enough bloke but I found it so strange!

I've set us up a photobucket account with a generic username and password which I'm going to give out on little tags tied to the favours - basically to try and get anyone who brings a digital camera to upload the photos for us so we can get a bit of a collection together! After the wedding I will give you guys the login details if you fancy looking at them haha!

Right I should really get on with some marking now... so not in the mood!

*sigh* the painting is done - well this stage of it anyway. I can't believe how long that took - so glad it's over. Now just need to sand and varnish (well polyurethane) the window sills and handrail and then that is those rooms done. Just the rest of the house left hahahaaa

I am shattered - do I:
a) tidy the lounge, give it a quick hoover, and then have a nap.
Or
b) Have a nap and then tidy the lounge.

Arghhhh why does my mother in law to be have to try and take over. I love her to bits but its because she asked that i ended up with a second bridesmaid i had no intention of having initially and now she wants to invite three people to my 'hen party' - Which is meant to be just a meal and i had no intention of havin anyone else other than me, my mum, my nan and mother in law to be. Do i just tell her i dont want them there.

I would definitely say no, especially if you don't know them. Who is she wanting to invite? Tell her that the reason it's only going to be the 3 of you is because you wanted a simple meal for you to all get to know each other.

StokieBecks - nightmare, I would say something probably - draw the line and hopefully that will stop her meddling!

So, today I have:

Been to the MAC counter and tried out their AMAZING Prep and Prime powder, which I will defo be buying for touch-ups, and also a lew lippies
Bought 14 bags of sweets, marshmallows, lollies and toffee popcorn for the sweet table (£land) and also some gorgeous glass jars (TK Maxx)
Bought bubbles for the little kids
Bought thank you cards for just about everyone
Bought my BM a bracelet (sale bargain)
Bought a kraft notebook for making OH's promise book
Started drafting the promises for inside the promise book!

p.s. I know that OH is working on his speech, which touches me no end as he is so averse to public speaking and keeps saying that he is going to wing it. I only know because I opened up hotmail and he hadn't signed out, and I saw an email in his inbox from his own account called 'speech' (he often emails things to himself). Bless him!!!! I didn't peep though, I signed him out!

Sorry I forgot to say Mel - in terms of the actual wedding I actually have nothing left to do - other than get my ring re-plated and buy the buffet bits. The bits that are panicking me now is all the DIYing!

And Becks - yes definitely say something, and like Mel said explain that you wanted a very intimate hen do so the heads of the two households could get to know each other better

(PS I went for option a - had a nice dream about MrD and the wedding )
