Good morning everyone!!
Woke up really hot - might be something to do with all the crap I've eaten (oops). Today will see the final bit of painting done - well on the walls anyway - we still have some arcatrives and door frames left to paint in other areas of the house. But this will mean the dining room/stairs/landing will be finished :T and everything can get put back :T It is funny - we chose a colour for the lounge - crown's pavillion - but MrD said he wasn't sure about having it all over the house, said it might be too dark, and too cold (it's like a pinky beigy browny colour). So when we were planning this lot of decorating we went to look at paint - saw B&Q no longer stock the pavillion so we got loads of paint testers and settled on crown's white pepper. Having it up all over the place it looks virtually no different to the pavillion :rotfl:. It is a fraction pinker but next to the lounge walls you honestly wouldn't be able to see a difference. I love it. Ha!! I kinda got my way without really trying.

PS Damn me for forgetting a hayfever tablet yesterday!! Sneeze sneeze sneeze!!

Anyone else wake up in a morning knowing they have dreamt about wedding stuff (i do i just havent quite remembered any yet) they are all hazy details when i wake up but last few dayshave woke up knowing ihave dreamt about the wedding

Working today so not much happening in terms of wedding bits today but my body has decided that my nerves have kicked in. If i feel like this today what on earth will i feel like on the actal day

Morning everyone! Really got to tackle some more wedding tasks today:

Decorate more jars
Finish my confetti cones
Go through EVERY detail of the flowers for my meeting with the florist tomorrow
eBay - see what else I need to order as there isn't much time left!!

Tomorrow (at work - I am so bad) I'm going to get out all my suppliers' email addresses and start working through and emailing them individually with details, timings etc and asking if there's anything I've missed. I'm in regular contact with the venue, photographer, church music peeps and florist anyway, but just need to start firming up details and logistics with everyone. OMG how exciting. I need someone to organise me into doing a plan of the day without omitting some crucial thing!

Where did you get your hessian from wanchai? I've been looking for some but the stuff in the shop here is really rough and cheap looking. I wanted some nicer looking stuff but it's so hard to tell online.

I've had a practice with the wood burning tool for the guestbook, although I now have a nice blister burn to show for it :mad:! but it was ok. I know roughly how long it will take me to do the big piece now, and that I need to plan the outline to make it easier to go over. So that's good :T Think it will take me a while though as I'll have to do it a bit at a time as I can't really have the hot tool out around DD.

I've decided on a gift for OH - going to get him a zippo lighter and have it engraved. He smokes, and I hate that he smokes :mad:, but I know he's not going to give up any time soon as he mostly smokes at work and it's his way of dealing with stress so I might as well go with it! I think it would be a nice gift that he would appreciate. None of the other 'traditional' gifts really suit him - he doesn't wear a watch, and has two in the drawer anyway, he couldn't have a pocket watch or cufflinks with his outfit, and he doesn't really drink for something like a hip flask or an engraved glass.

What are other people giving their OH's - if you are giving anything! I think someone may need to let mine know about this little tradition :rotfl:

I'm getting my OH a kraft notebook in Paperchase, will decorate it myself and write promises inside e.g. I promise to give you a kiss every morning etc. Have seen it done before and it looks fab - and he will appreciate a handmade gift. Can't think of anything else!!! Your Zippo sounds like a good idea (hopefully your OH will give up smoking sometime though!).

Me! My dreams are full of quite organised to-do lists that I can't piece together when I wake up! :rotfl: Oh and I have gone into nervous mode today too!! I like your postbox btw!

I've had the occasional wedding dream/nightmare. One where OH went missing. One where I went missing. Hmm..

wanchai - I love the bits on Facebook. makes me want to get (more) crafty. I'm not letting myself do too much as I know I won't get it all finished with DD around.

I did do a bit of non-wedding related crafting yesterday, and made a pretty mobile that's now hung in the window. I'm really pleased with it

OH has decided (roughly) on a ring :T He deffo just wants a plain band, so I'm not worried about having to rush like crazy to order it. Will be going to get his finger measured on saturday and decide what thickness and metal he wants, then probably order online as it's usually cheaper.

Plans for today are to decide on music for the ceremony and make a cd, and type and print out the reading, so it's all ready to go to the register office next week when I take in our notice certificates.

Thanks SKS! I know that the wedding is not going to be as DIY as I would have liked (am simply running out of time) but if I can get 15-20 jars decorated, my confetti cones done and my big thing finished, I'll be happy.

Yay for your OH deciding on a ring!! Hope that you can tie him down soon

OH is pestering me to spend the afternoon with him and I just want to go into town and buy everything that I need!!!! aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh
