Hahaaaa it was all perfectly safe - the ladder couldn't slip because it was wedged between two walls. I suppose I could have slipped....
But I didn't - ha they don't call me monkey for nothing
I can't believe how long it took to cook all the sausages - I did them in batches of 12, and each batch took around 45-50 mins cause of how fat they are. Just hope they aren't too dry (they didn't look it). Next job foodwise is to eat everything up in our freezer so I have more freezer space.0 -
OMG - tomorrow night we can sugar soap EVERYTHING!!
All that is left for me to do tomorrow during the day:
* sand around the window
* sand underneath the window
* sand the ceiling
* sand the hatch arcatrive
Then I will hoover/dust/tidy the rooms up.
So tomorrow night we can sugar soap everything. MrD can put decorators caulk around everything
Friday I can prime all the sanded down bits of MDF and white wash the walls.; Friday night we can put some pollycell base coat on the walls/ceiling.
Saturday I can start painting the ceiling!!0 -
Glad you have got the cake sorted Mel, I am going to order mine from M&S this week when I can mobilise everyone to get the separate orders in lol! I'm umming and ahhing about having a fruit bottom layer. Can't decide! I personally prefer sponge but thought it might be nice to have some fruit for other people who prefer it. I did buy my cake decorations today though - some ribbon to go round it and some cheap foam flowers from Dunelm. They're on wire so easy to poke in the top.
Natalie, that looks exciting on those ladders haha! Is it all done now?
I've just got back from the gym, dunno why but I feel like I am going backwards with the diet at the minute. I'm sticking to eating similar amounts, exercising the same, and my weight has only gone up by a pound, but I feel like I'm really unfit all of a sudden! I really struggled to get through the class tonight. I am doing low impact versions of all the hardest moves as well because of my knee injury! I also feel really fat and flabby at the minute.Anyway moan over. I want cake lol.
xxThs signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it...0 -
I meant, the thing you were up there doing! Not the whole lot - I can see that from your multitude of lists!

lol yea
I was sanding a bit of coving that is in that alcovy bit of the ceiling. All the rest I can get to with our normal step ladders. But the bit at the top of the stair well is rather high up. We've had to borrow the In-Laws-To-Be's ladders. I'm just really excited, cannot wait to get some paint on the walls.
My plan is for all the painting to be finished by 17th June, then we have 1 month to finish off downstairs toilet (not much left to do there); tidy up the kitchen; and lay a new patio. I am currently feeling optimistic that we'll have it all done in time for the wedding

Ghostlove am glad you've got something booked, will be much nicer getting driven.
MrsD that's really bonkers you took a camera up there with you!
I've had a reasonably productive day - bought 2 nice pens reduced in H Samuels for the 2 ushers presents, and some card for doing the orders of service (which we got drafted yesterday). I'm still stuck for gifts for the bridesmaids, was thinking bracelets but can't find any cheaply enough.
We reviewed the budget yesterday and we're having to do more cost cutting. I'm going to start looking in charity shops for my 2nd dress (very envious of the 25-odd you've ordered MrsDrink!). Still stuck with decorations too. Any ideas anyone? I'm having long tables so thinking they don't need big centrepieces, but not sure what to have on there instead.....0 -
Mmm struggling to reply - it keeps telling me my message is too short even though it's clearly not!!MrsD that's really bonkers you took a camera up there with you!I went up and did my sanding, but then thought I'd share the experience with you guys and went back up with my phone to take the piccie

Dunno if you've looked there or whether they'll be within your budget

Just confused a delivery guy. MrD ordered something off eBay. Courier comes and asks my surname. When I say it you can see him worry whether he's got the right address for a second! Just think in less than 6 weeks that won't be an issue0

Today is the only day of the week I have nothing wedding related booked so I have had a play with my makeup. I have the eye look I am after now but my phone camera is to grainy to post a decent pic. Basically I'm sticking to my Benefit cream eyeshadow in brown with a sparkly highlighter below my brows. I also tried Vaseline on my eyebrows for shine and to keep them where they should be!!
I got the men's socks yesterday which are purple and lilac stripes. Been looking for ages for the right thing and found them in Primark!! Haha. Bargain. Also got H2B's morning gift of Diesel smelly. Got a free holdall/bag too and used a £5 voucher and double points coupon so I felt I was v mse.
Right best on got on with the housework as Natalie is making me feel guilty I haven't done anything house related.0
