    I must remember to take my ring in to be rhodium plated!! If I havent said Ive done it by the end of June can someone please remind me!:D

    Lol you could always do what I did and knock the whole corner of the ring off and have to get it replaced lol. At least it's nice and shiny, I'm not wearing it at the minute so it stays nice then I'll wear both rings together after the wedding to let them wear at the same time. Don't know about you ladies but I didn't actually mind the slightly 'faded' look? It just looked weird next to the less faded wedding ring!

    Is it really naughty of me to be contemplating placing 3 separate M&S orders for the wedding cake? The total order comes to £96 but it's £5 off when you spend £30... I'd probably have to do it from 3 separate email addresses and use 3 separate cards lol...

    xx
    Ths signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it... :o

    Mel- i would be tempted to do three orders, its a saving of £15 which to me is worth the tiny bit of hassle.

    Im not that bothered about my ring, its only the setting that is white gold but i would like it looking its best for any photos (even though it wont be on my wedding ring finger!!), but this will probably be the only time i have it replated.

    I agree I'd get three orders.

    And I agree - I quite like the fact my 'non-engagement' ring shows a slight bit of wear. To be honest the actual colour is very good, so it doesn't look odd next to my wedding band, but it doesn't shine as much. This will probably be the only time I get it plated. :)

    Woo hoo it's official - I am under 10st!! I haven't been here for a very long time and 10st was always a brick wall for me so I'm really pleased to be under it!! Am 9st13, with 6 weeks left to go. To get back to a healthy BMI I actually only need to lose 1lb!!! But would like to be 9st8 - what I was when I was measured for my dress - but also bearing in mind that my mum says I can't lose much more or else the back of my dress won't look right.

    I have the opposite problem with my rings - my engagement ring is too shiny! I'll be wearing my granny's wedding band (which OH propose with) and its obviously rocking the worn look. Might get it polished but I quite like that it's worn and what that represents.

    I had my hen party on Saturday and it was great. I had a cupcake decorating workshop, and everyone really really loved it. I was surprised how much in fact! We were only out 2-5 but it was so strange being out without my daughter!! Really glad I arrange it, as I think everyone will have fond memories of it, even though my MoH couldn't make it.

    I want to try and get the jobs that involve OH done this week - look at rings, order his outfit, etc. he has changed his mind and now wants to wear shorts again so I've got to try and find him some smarter ones.. though I think he will change his mind back again. Oh and we have our engagent session with the photographer on thursday which I keep forgetting about. Hope my skin clears up a little!

    Oh that sounds exciting SK!! You'll have to share photos on FB! :D

    I have my CBMIIWHO coming for tea tonight. Really excited!! This will be the last time I see her before my hen day. And then that will be the last time I see her unmarried!! (Only family are invited to the ceremony). We're going to spend the day in the garden while MrD works on the house. Going to get her to help me dig more of the grass up. Bless her. :D I am cooking her a paella though to make up for it ha!! :D

    Jobs left to do in the dining room/stairs/landing:
    * Sand around a plug socket (where the wall needed repairing)
    * Pick out old plaster repair/scrape flaking paint off around the dining room window
    * Create new door frame for lounge/dining room entrance
    * Sand the ceiling where there used to be a floor to ceiling cupboard which we knocked down and repaired the ceiling
    * Refill and sand above the staircase window (was a massive crack)
    * Punch the nails in the loft hatch, fill and sand
    * Change light switch on the landing
    * Sort out ceiling cracks around chimney breast
    * Finish coving in landing
    * Sugar soap everything
    * Decorators caulk everywhere (including the lounge french doors)
    * Prime the MDF
    * PAINT!! :D (Although this means white washing and putting some base coat stuff down first)
    *gulp*

    smithkinson - your hen do pictures look fab - great fun!
    MrSDrink - I'm really impressed by your weight loss and all the DIY you've been doing - i'm sure all the action has helped shift the weight!

    Your target was very similar to mine (9st9), but I'm doing so badly (nearly a stone adrift) I've kind of given up a bit. Hopefully you wanchai and Silaqui doing so well ill spur me on!
