:rotfl: Emma!
See that is a worry too - not only of getting tan lines but also if my face tans my foundation won't match perfectly lol.
Well this afternoon/evening I have:
* Sanded the filling around the stair case and window sill
* Sanded the filling in the skirting boards and arcatrives
* Sanded the adhesive of the coving
I'm a little bit dusty now :rotfl:0 -
The principles of PM are sensible and obvious really but it's hard to eat slowly, mindfully and stop when your enjoying the meal but I stuck to it yesterday and again today. I'm amazed how little I need to feel full.
It's rained all day here and we've even had the fire on!! So irs fake tan for me.
I'm all packed and ready for the wedding tomorrow. Being picked up at 9.30 to have hair and makeup done with the bride at the venue! Going to have to be careful with my calories in alcohol. Her theme is a summer ball so we are all wearing ball gowns and the favours are cocktails. Very James Bond!0 -
We have been getting to know some of the neighbours today at our street party, and a few neighbours asked about 'my husband'! I didnt bother correct to them as he will be soon enough!!!:rotfl:
I cant believe youve all had rain today- we were forecast rain but its been lovely!!
Melanie- hope your friend has an amazing day tomorrow, and hope you have fun getting ready.0 -
Well it's very quiet on here this bank holiday weekend which I assume means we're all out enjoying the time off work. What have you all been up to?
My jobs today:
* Finish sanding the arcatrives (I missed one yesterday).
* Transplant some more grass. (So tedious).
Mmm I feel like I've done way more than that!
Oh and while I'm at it... here are the finished cheesecakes:0 -
Hi everyone
I'm so boredI've done all my jobs that I had set up, don't want to go anywhere because it'll involve spending money that I don't have, done enough walking around rivers and lakes to last me till the next sunny spell!
It's even dangerous me being on here because I get distracted by the deals on grabbit lol!
Feel like we are wasting the bank holiday but there's just nothing to do!
xxThs signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it...0 -
MrsDrink - that freezerful of cake looks amazing!
Silaqui - if you're really bored, I have 38 things left on my wedding to-do list you could help withI've not been doing wedding things today though, I've been flyladying while OH has been busy. Trying to have a bit of an organise and clear out in the bedroom too. If I'm honest I have too much stuff for a little house, so I have to be very organised about where it's all kept.
I was at my Mum's this morning, and one of her friends is insisting on giving us a wedding gift. We said we didn't want anything, but she's persisted. I had to try and think of something we needed and that wouldn't take up too much space, it was really tough to think of anything, but settled on a salt and pepper mill! This must be why we don't have a wedding list!0 -
If we didn't have such a ridiculously long DIY list of things to do I would be bored too.
You all know what I'm like for being bored during school holidays.
This evening MrD has been busy - he's started to tile the downstairs loo (and done the majority of two walls). It looks amazing - when it's all done I will HAVE to take photos for youIn the meantime I was cold so I had a nap, under the duvet in bed :rotfl:.
BB - We're the same when it comes to gift lists. We don't want anything and we're hoping the majority respect that, but some aren't - so we've very reluctantly agreed they can put some money towards some Diving gear for us. I would hate to have to actually thing of 'real' things we need to put into a gift list. Besides I hate the idea of people just buying off a list because it's there rather than getting the best price for things. Like our sausagerolls (okay not quite the same but it shows what I mean). MrD's mum said she would make the sausage rolls for us, but when I can buy 250 cocktail sausage rolls for £5 it just seems crazy to agree for her to make them!! Instead we've agreed she can help us cook everything and use some of her freezer/fridge space
The next weddingy thing I want to do on Wednesday when MrD is back at work is practice my hair and make up again.I still haven't tried the fake bump thing I bought to get the height in my hair. I am also going to spend Wednesday cooking sausages :rotfl: - come on then guys what's the best way to cook a banger? I was thinking for ease to just oven bake them. (I usually fry them :rotfl: I'm such a diet rebel lol).

Are we talking sausages on sticks MrsD? If so, I would normally grill them, but I think baking would be fine. If it's sausage rolls, I just bake them in the pastry.
OH and I just had a good long chat about the dreaded first dance. We've finally chosen one - its only taken us over a year! We've chosen it at least partly on the basis it's only two minutes long:rotfl:We are both shockingly uncoordinated and hate dancing, so we've finally bitten the billet to book a couple of dance lessons. They are expensive, but hopefully they'll stop us from panicking. We'll need to ring up on Wednesday, but I think it'll put us £60 over our budget for that sort of thing. We'll have to make it up out of the decorations or favours budget I think - there's not much flexibility left!
Down to 37 things to do - after I added in something else I forgot!0 -
Sausage on sticks, but they are going to be cooked, cut into thirds, frozen and thawed out on the day. I wasn't sure if grilling them would cause them to be dry?
Congratulations on finally choosing a first dance song!! :T Are we allowed to know what you've chosen? PS I would love dance lessons - not for our first dance - still wouldn't convince me of that, but I would love to be able to be thrown around the dance floor ala strictly0 -
You're probably right and best with baking then MrsD, to avoid crunchy skins!
We've chosen I feel fine by the Beatles - as long as we can get some moves for it. We seriously cannot even shuffle rhythmically from side to side - so I doubt we'll get the throwing each other around!
I've just found out a good friend is not coming to my hen do, which has upset me a bitThat's two that have dropped out this weekend. I'm now down to 4 including me, which is a bit sad. She didn't seem to think it was a big deal, she's going cot-shopping instead - not a great reason to drop out!
