Well my bestest is now Mrs Smig. Had a fab wedding and the day went really smoothly . . . one thing i have learnt though is to purchase some gel liners for my shoes. The balls of my feet were aching from dancing all night and standing and chatting lots.

She had a fun raffle during the speeches too which was a nice touch. Every place card was numbered and 1 female from each table 'won' the flowers and 1 male 'won' a fun gift. My H2B won on our table. He got a bbq apron covered in man pockets. There was blow up sheep, man tattoos, etc. They also had casino tables at night which was a bit of fun too. All in a all a fab day and can not wait for mine now.

We are going to see the Registrar tomorrow morning then i am off to purchase the olympic scratch cards i need for favours.

Melanie- sounds like you had a fab day yesterday, saw your pics, you look lovely and your friend looks fab aswell.

One 'tip' a friend has passed on to me, based on the last 2 weddings she has attended as an evening guest is make sure you have plenty seats for the evening guests, because both times she been left to stand up the whole evening, so Ive already decided im going to make sure I ask for plenty more chairs to be available in the evening.

Well I have gone for the lazy easy option and have decided Im going to get someone to make my table plan! It wasnt the plan that was worrying me, it was cutting the card perfectly that was worrying me, so because I have the butterflies already she is going to charge me less, plus Ive asked if for a certain price she could so me matching sign to go on my post box! I can then concentrate on doing my place name cards and table numbers!!

The chair thing sounds silly but I guess all the day guests stick to their seats so unless more are put out its the evening guests who have to stand!!

Melanie- what cake have you gone for?

We've done that, well sort of - we are having 7 tables with ten chairs set up even though there will only be 56 attending the day. There will also be some chairs along the sides of the room to be brought in. Then when the extra people arrive there should be enough space for everyone to have a seat if they want one. We are looking at about 90-100 in the evening altogether.
Ths signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it... :o

We're having 30 chairs for 45 of us, but I guess (hope) that's ok as it's more of a house party and I'm hoping most people will be stood up chatting to us. :)

Well I've had a very busy day with my CBMIIWHO. :) Together we've finished transplanting the grass from one area of the garden to the other (see FB piccies). Busy busy busy!! :)

Natalie- Im sure it will be fine. I think as long as most people have access to a chair (ie with people moving around chatting therefore freeing up there chair) it will be fine.

Natalie- sounds like youve been very busy today.

Ive had such a lovely weekend, I dont want to go back to work tomorrow!!:D

Also we have lots of perching places like the wall around the pond, the sofas, the bar stools etc. :)

Well the first batch of sausages are in the oven :D Now just to resist having a nibble!!

How is everyone doing? Did you all have a lovely weekend? I'm at a bit of a loss really having had MrD home for three days, now the house feels really empty!! How pathetic lol. :)

I had a wedding dream last night. There was two parts - when I went and collected my dress they still hadn't done the alterations! ( they better bloody had else I will be making a complaint and asking for a reimbursement of my diesel money!!) and then MrD saw me in the dress (I was in some sort of cafe) and we were both all 'omg we're getting married' and jumping up and down in excitement. I woke up feeling rather excited!! Less than 6 weeks :T!
