Thanks Natalie for the decoration list you've got. I'm thinking I may go for baloons on the long tables. I'd originally not liked the idea, but think they make be the best idea for having something on them that isn't flower arrangements.
Now I need to think of something for the top table though - can't really have balloons as they will cover everyone's faces! I like Mr & Mrs letters, but doesn't really work as we're both Drs...0 -
Dr & Dr lol. Google 'cloud 9 balloons'. This is how I'm doing ours. In my big clean ready for sugar soaping I've accidentally unwired the phone socket which is hanging off so we can decorate behind it. So I've got no internet at the mo. Will try fixing it after lunch and a shower. Glad that all the dusty work in the house is now over :T oh and all 25 lol of my dresses have arrived so I'll try them on after my shower. If I like one I'll take a photo to share.0

I made an appointment with my hairdresser for a few days before (we're marrying on Sunday 22nd, the appointment's for Thursday 19th). My profile pic to the left there shows my colour, though my style is much curlier than it looks there (I kind of battled it into submission for the photo!). I plan to wear it natural as I can't be arsed with faff, so I'm going to have my roots bleached and a trim at the hairdresser, then have my bestie put the red colour on that afternoon, then the morning of the big day I'll just wash it early and let it dry naturally into whatever shape it sees fit.I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.0

ooh they sound good. I want to find purple socks for our men, to match their ties. though I'm sure they won't be expecting to be supplied with socks!! I won't tell OH until the morning so he will have no choice, since they'll be on show with his shorts :rotfl:
Excited to see a dress Natalie! I have faith that one will be perfect. I'm waiting for my 99p bargain dress to arrive still to see if it's any good. Ordered the MoH's VoH dress yesterday too so planning to be very jealous of that when it arrives. She's visiting next week so will be able to try it on then.
My cowshed splurge should arrive tomorrow too. Hoping it sorts my skin out. I justified it to OH as 'well I'm not having a MUA, and this will last for ages not just one day, so really I've saved money.. '
I don't know what to do in terms of make up. I don't wear make up day to day, only very rarely on a 'special occasion' like a big family meal or an event when I know I'll be photographed. I wore some for my hen do on saturday and that was the first time since.. probably.. new year? I have a mineral powder foundation from clinique (its erm.. about 3 years old.. is that bad?!) and use that with a bit of eyeliner and mascara and that's it. I'm thinking of going and having some mini makeovers at some counters to try out some stuff but I don't know which ones to try. There's a bobbi brown and a bare minerals and a benefit all not too far away (amongst others), or I could stick with clinique. It's not bad, but it's not amazing.
ETA: oh, and laura mercer - I've heard good things there too0 -
I want to get married now!! I know the next 7 weeks will whizz by by I want it to be now!!:rotfl: Plus i have lost all healthy eating motivation and at the rate im going my dress wont fit in 7 weeks!!:rotfl: and:mad:!
I went to our reception venue today because Im meant to be meeting up with the photographer next week and he on about meeting at the venue, and theres a bit park at the back so I thought this could be perfect for photos so went for an explore today- well it would be perfect if it wasnt the fact to get there you have a short walk, though what I can only describe as a countryside path in the woods (ok its in the city but thats what the path is like), really narrow to the extent my dress wont fit and will get really grubby!! So I need to have a rethink about this and I need to do so in the next week!!0 -
Just realised it was 50 days today!! Flipping heck.
I have another long weekend with H2B. We are going to the venue tomorrow morning to dot the i and cross the t's. I'm going to look rather Bridezilla I think because I want to measure the tables! I Am hoping to cut and trim my table runners beforehand so there all done by the time I get to decorate the room the day before. She'll probably think I'm a nutter when I count windows and courtyard tables! I need to know how many jam jars of flowers i want. Excited.com0 -
Emma - could you mow or clear the path beforehand?! If not get your new husband to give you a piggy back!!!!0

Sugar soaping - Done!
White wash, prime MDF, decorators caulk, and base coat tomorrow ... mmm wonder if that is being too optimistic!Really want the ceiling to be finished by the time I go back to school.

Laura mercier do a gorgeous primer but its very pricy. If you dont normally wear much make up, I'd focus on getting a really good base - benefit do good concealers but they break me out terribly - maybe avoid if you are havung trouble with your skin. Surprisingly enough, collection 2000 do a fantastic concealer - lasting perfection its called, its only about 4 quid.
If you're not into make up I'd try bare minerals for a base, get your face looking smoith and even. Then go for a charcoal coloured eye liner (gosh in superdrug do good ones - easily as good as mac) just a very fine line along the top lashes, that'll stop you needing to have any false lashes. Use a pale lilac wyeshadow over the liner - itll tone it down and also the lilac will make your eyes look brightfor a bit of blush try either bare minerals or natural collection at boots do some really pretty blushers and they're only 1.99!
Oh I would chuck the old make up haha I don't go in for watching use by dates on make up but 3 years its probably full of bacteria , its won't do anything for your skin!
I'm on my phone at the mo but any make up tips you want I swaer I have tried pretty much every brand on the market haha xxThs signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it...0
