Must admit I loved getting mine - ha so much I took a photo of it and put it on FB (lol of my photo and my new name, and so things like passport number wasn't included).

Oh forgot to say - have had a receipt from the registry office and a little slip to say they have received all our documents and they will see us on the day - so I presume our choice of music and readings were fine. (Not that I doubted they would be). :T VERY excited and I agree Emma, I want it here NOW!0

Meeee!! I do. (Thanks mum grrr lol).
When I went to Mac I complained to them that when I wear eyeshadow my eyes just sweat it off. (It's not sweat - it's the natural oils in my skin/eyes and because they are hooded the crease can't 'air' out). Anyway the guy who did me said forget about primers - they aren't any good, but use an eye shadow 'paint pot' that's kinda like a cream eyeshadow. It goes on cream and then dries and I can feel it drying on my eye lids. It is amazing stuff, and lasts all day (I wear it every day for work). The one I use for a base for other normal eyeshadow (which then stays on cause the oils aren't getting through) is called painterly. Definitely recommend them.
That sounds good - was thinking of trying mac as everyone says such great things!!
I'm completely at a loss as to what to do about something for my hair. I want something but I just don't know what. This headband is completely wrong. I think a clip would be better. Ugh.0 -
Have you decided how you're having your hair? Or are you waiting to find the right head gear before deciding? What sort of thing are you after? Blingy? Pearly?0

It's actually happening. I'm going to be a freaking wife!

Our registry all done too. The rate has gone up by £5 but they do accept cheques so i don't have to worry about H2B remembering or losing cash!
We had our venue visit today and she smiled when i asked how many windows and the size of the tables. Apparently it is a common question! So i didn't look like a bridezilla. She went through the timings of the day with us and made me feel very relaxed as she remembered all the little things i hadn't thought of. To celebrate a very productive wedding week H2B took me out to lunch. That is 2 lunches out this week, and i am going to newly marrieds tonight for an indoor BBQ. I have made a malteser cheesecake to take, thanks to Natalie, as she inspired me to make it! :rotfl:0 -

You could find a nice brooch, piece off a headband, ribbon bow etc and sew it on to a hairclip yourself, thats what i am doing. I found a lovely flower on a kids headband in Tesco's and i just cut it off and have attached it to a springy clip to put on my hair where ever my hairdresser sees fit.0 -
Oh youve been chatty today!
SKS- thats a shame about the tiara, it looked lovely online. What kind of thing are you after?
Melanie- I saw your check in for lunch again today and felt very jealous as I was eating a boring lunch at the time!!:rotfl:
My new passport came in my maiden name, so I didnt think it was my passport!
Well I took my chief bridesmaids dress to an alterations place as the zip sits funny- I think its not helped by the fact its like a silk material so very light. Anyway he undid a bit of stitching that was attaching the liner to the zip and hopefully that will help, and he steamed it aswell as it was so creased, he didnt want anything for doing it but I did give him a little bit towards it. Fingers crossed that will help.
Ghostlove- every now and then it suddenly feels very real for me!0 -
My BM is taking me in her Fiat500 - and putting a ribbon on it too - bless! (Her Dad said "I know who'll be cleaning it when you've driven it down fron Scotland")
We've gone for quite 'safe' food options:
melon with berry compote, mint syrup and lemon sorbet
roast chicken stuffed with sunblushed tomato and basil (nice crispy skin on the leg - yum!) & roast pots/veg
chocolate delice with clotted cream
tea, coffee, chocolates
ooh and the booze we've chosen:
sparkling wine and Bellinis (my favourite) to welcome
sauvignon blanc and shiraz with food, bubbles for toasts:beer:
If you can afford it, I'd be inclined to go for the extra hours with your photographer. If you find yourself with a few spare £s in a couple of years, you can't go back and get more wedding pics done.
My sister has already decided her oh has to have the afternoon off the day before my wedding so he can go and get her car fully valeted!!:rotfl: Haha, cant wait to see your pics now, make sure you get one of the car! My sisters is a convertible so Im hoping it will be a nice sunny day!!
Im just waiting for the photographer to reply with costs then we can make a decision.0 -

I'm having my hair down. The hairband is lovely but it just looks wrong. I have dark brown hair and it just stands out too much against it. I'll find something, I'm sure.0 -
Smithkinson - have you made any progress deciding on OH's wedding outfit yet?
MrsDrink - well done on all the paintwork preparations :T
lovecake - very exciting that your married laydeeee passport is on it's way:j
I've not heard much gymming lately - has everyone lost the enthusiasm for it, or that just me? Silaqui, surely you've done 5 classes this week or something to put me to shame? I'm trying to work out if I have time to go to legs, bums and tums tomorrow morning before I have someone coming round. [Insert better excuse here.]
OH's Mum is still ill in hospital, so he's off to see her this weekend, and I'll be by myself - endlessly deliberating over table sparkles0
