Just a little quickie to say wooooo - have just ordered some shoes for MrD from Debenhams. They were in the sale £12 off... I got a 10% code off (a further £4.80 off), and a free delivery code - I love MSE!! :)
Going to order the gazebos as soon as I wake up tomorrow pmsl! :T lots of little purchases!!

    Thats good news then Mel.

Natalie- sounds like you got a good bargain on the shoes- i love this site, i rarely order anything online without having a look about on here to see if I can find any codes. My oh got some nice smart shoes in the Clarks Jan sales as his previous smart shoes ended up work shoes, so im hoping he will put them by for the wedding.

Well i got my sisters approval for the dresses and i asked my oh what colour he thought they were and he said dark pink- which is good as i was worried they were red in some lights. so i just need to decide if im going to keep them. decisions decisions!!

Good News about the dresses (if u decide to keep them lol)

I am going to save myself £15 and not bother with Favours as were not having a seating plan. i was going to do a sweet buffet but they are more expensive.

so im going to make the kids little sweety bags up and thats it :)

    Gooooood morning everyone!!
Well as I type this I'm ordering two gazebos from Tescos :) (Isn't it great being a woman and multitasking!)

Mel - by the time you're reading this you will be on your Easterbreak :) I hope your last day at work wasn't too stressful! :) :T for going to see the Vicar.

It is funny isn't it. Neither MrD nor I are religious at all. I'm more of a I don't not believe than being totally anti-religion. For that reason neither of us would want to marry in a church. I think if we didn't want a low key affair in a registry office we'd have gone for some stately home or big fancy castle location instead. That's the great thing about this site -so many different views and ways of doing 'it'. :)

LauraR - for all codes I check out this MSE forum: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=38 it has saved me many pennies over the years - lol although I have spent many more to make those savings :rotfl:.

Emma - :T that the dresses are okay with your sister! Pictures?! lol. And well done on MrPink in saying they were the right colour :T
  • Hello- these are the dresses, im going to show my mil2b and get her opinion and then I will make a final decision

    http://www.littlewoods.com/teatro-high-waisted-corsage-dress/650907745.prd?browseToken=%2fb%2f1655%2c6839%2fs%2fprice%2c0%2fr%2f100&trail=1589-1655-6839&prdToken=/p/prod7530751-sku12028300

I really like them but I think im having doubts because the colour is slightly darker than I originally was going for, and style wise they are a bit different, but I dont want to send them back and then end up not being able to find anything but what if I then find something else. I think the thing about this colour is that is would also match with baby pink and dusky pink so ill have a few more options flower wise- im just dreadful at making decisions!!

Laurar- Im not having having favours either. I am hoping though that there will be enough money left over for a sweetie buffet as I really really want one!! Im only having 4 children at the day time (maybe 6 at a push) and they will be 12, 11, 6 and 4 so for the younger 2 I may get a little goodie bag with colouring boxes etc, for the older 2 (and maybe the 6 year old) im thinking of going for the disposable camera and a list of photos option to keep them quiet for a bit!!

Natalie- Im the same, I believe rather than dont believe but I dont act upon those beliefs and am not a religous person if that makes sense. My oh is the same hence why we arent getting married in a church, plus the church close to me is huge!!

:jat ordering the gazebos- when will you get them?

:) nice to see you this lunchtime Emma! I'll go and collect them a week on Thursday - unless I go out of my way to go and fetch them in my excitement!! :D I am very happy with my little bargain!!

I forgot the whole children thing - we'll have a possible: 3 young primary school children, 2 older primary school child, 1 young secondary school child, 5 older secondary school child. (I don't know their exact ages!) I won't be giving them anything to entertain them, because of the nature of our wedding. I figure there will be enough of them around the same ages to keep themselves entertained. BUT I do have a garden game should they need it (kinda like bowling - it's a finnish game Mölkky).

As for favours - lol yep you guessed it - I'm not having them either. :) Everyone can take their cheesecake home with them if they wish :)

Actually I think I'm going to treat us to a large garden version of jenga as well- it could be fun if there are some drunk adults playing too lol

As there is an outdoor area I may get a few games, my sister has a giant jenga so could get her to bring that. I think I may need something because the wedding is at 3, by the time weve had a few photos and got the reception place i reckon it will be 4.30, 5 so by the time weve all had something to eat there will be a bit of gap before the evening party starts and more kids (well behaved ones only) will come so i think i need something to keep them occupied so they dont get bored and start charging about!!

I dont reckon you wll last until next thurs!!:rotfl:
