I keep telling myself there is no point in making an extra journey just to go and fetch them... cause if I do that I should have just paid for delivery to our house rather than being a skin flint and getting them sent to my local store lol. I'm thinking MSE all the way lol.
Right off to go research how much giant jenga costs lol0 -
hehe, im the same- im aiming for a proper mse wedding- it needs to be as my budget is so small!! Which is another plus about those dresses, but im trying not to bring price into my decision as to whether to keep them or not! Im worried ill send them back then will not find anything I like and will end up having to get some I dont like as much and they are 3 or 4 times the cost!! Its funny that the bridesmaid dresses are causing me more headache than my own dress!!:rotfl:0

Sorry lol - completely forgot to click your dresses link!! Ah see now I really like that colour. I think it's a lot more flattering than bright cerise pink, well certainly on me anyway
And like you said it would suit more 'duller' warmer pinks that you could use in your bouquet/other bits and bobs.
In my opinion it's a keeper!
Although I do understand the whole "OMG"ness of the decision lol. I mean I freaked out over ordering white plastic chairs lol. I'm soo glad I'm not having bridesmaids!0 -
The dress is lovely and the pink is really nice.
I was thinking of some outdoor games but there is a climbing frame/slide thing outside for the kids to play on and i think the adults will manage just fine with the drinking lol
i was talking to my aunt today and she hired her wedding dress... do many bridal shops do this or is it the odd ones?
I want my two little boys to be dressed smart but suits for little ones are so expensive so i was thinking trousers white shirt/polo and Royal Blue tanktop. what u think? i might have to find someone to knit the tank tops though as cant find any in royal blue! x
Yey for the gazebo's. just think... it wont make any difference if u wait!!! but id be the same and end up going early lol x0 -
I have a feeling that our wedding is going to be like Christmas...
... all the excitement, all the build up, all the planning to find the right bits and bobs...
... not being able to sleep the night before... waking up at silly o'clock in the morning...
... doing the deed...
... and then being left thinking "is that it?"...
:rotfl:
I am glad that once the actual ceremony and party is over I can then work on planning our honeymoon. I *think* we have agreed on the Red Sea during October half term. :T0 -
Lol Laura we must have been writing at the same time!!
You are right - you don't hear much about hiring wedding dresses these days. No idea if you still can.
I think little boys in a white shirt and tank top would look really smartFar nicer than little boys in waistcoats etc!

Well mil2b has been in and she liked the dress and the colour and has helped me make up my mind in that im going to keep them. Im doing well as I think on my spreadsheet the budget per dress was £80 so that gives me £90 total towards other bits, I may get them a little bolero or shrug but would budget about £20 each so I reckon in total im going to be £50 under budget on their outfits- i like this moneysaving malarky!!:rotfl:
LauraR- you little boys will look so cute. And I also think they will be comfier in something like that than a proper suit, especially if they(more the older one) is running abound and playing on the climbing frame, slide etc. And you are more likely to be able to dress them in at least the polo shirt again and therefore is very mse!!:money:
Natalie- I think your very right, i imagine the day will be just like that. and:j:j:j and almost deciding where the honeymoon will be!0 -
Sorry Leni - but I've had to report this post
unfortunately it's against the board rules to self-promote.
How are you all doing? Lots of fun weddingy things? Lol I'm having my first panic - wondering whether my decorations are going to be enough!! To the point where on Monday I'm going to make a plan of the downstairs of our house and map our where my balloons/paper hearts/chairs and things will go! I really want it to look super special not just 'oh come round for a BBQ' kinda thing. I have decided sod it - I'm going to get some organza in burgundy to do some bows on my white plastic chairs - part of me wishes I could justify spending more on the chairs and say getting nice cushioned wooden ones. But really who is going to complain?! I think bows on them will just help link them in. Going to use all 44 paper hearts round the backgarden, put some cloud 9s scattered throughout downstairs/the gardens. The gazebos with bows on their legs - and possibly a paper heart in the middle of the openings. then there is the garden torches with bows on. I want it to look kinda like this: http://www.mjdecorations.com/Weddings/Wedding-Reception-Decoration/IMG3125/663610568_XmfLv-M.jpg but in my backgarden rather than inside - and without tables lol.0 -
Hello Natalie. I havent done anything wedding related today although i did get excited when the post came as we had some more tesco vouchers come which was just under £10 which means just under another £30 towards my ring, which means im getting closer to being able to get the ring im eyeing upand moneywise will still be on budget.:j. I think we are going into town next week so im going to go to goldsmiths and then I can decide which one I want. (theres 2, but from the pics online I do have a fave so will have to see what they are like in the flesh and on me!!)
I think the chairs will look nice with a bow on, and I dont think you need to spend out more on nicer chairs, especially once you put the bows on.0 -
Thank you for the reassurance!! I am sure you're right - part of me says I shouldn't care - that it's all about becoming MrsD properly, but the OCDer in me says it has to look right!
Lol.
Oooo how exciting to be so close to being able to get your rings. I'm afraid I'm rubbish at saving my tesco vouchers... I always end up just spending them on my shopping. When they come there is never really anything I need to buy with the offers. Although I did get MrD's mum some thorntons using them a couple of Christmas' ago.0
