ooo diddy feet!! Right I'm off on a mission!
Do you have a rough budget?0 -
thanks girls! its very scary and fun!!! its taken me since october to decide on a venue and been backwards and forwards loads! but this is it now....
I am not dress shopping until at the earliest January and its already freeking me out! x0 -
No budget really:)0
-
Natalie- Im sure dress shopping will be fine, its such an exciting thing and although it makes it even more real at least you preoccupied with trying them and pretty things like tiaras on (even if you arent having one you may still try one one!)
LauraL- had a quick look, have you looked into getting ivory ones dyed for you? Dress shops may be the best place if you go down this route.
It will be all go for you now lauraR.
Still havent ordered my cards but they are in my basket, so will do that tomorrow when oh isnt about. I have until friday for the code to run out!!0 -
Afternoon ladies how are we all today?
I have just been going through my guest list and for the dat pretty sure that everyone will come but on the evening i have got 10people (5couples) that i am slowly loseing touch with or never come to anything theyre bloody invited to.... has anyone else got this situation or just me... i mean if i was getting married this year id send them an invite but some i havent seen since xmas or before? x0 -
Hey girlies
I have just been onto figleaves and ordered MrD a pair of pants and some socks - I will hide them when they come so he doesn't start wearing them before the big day(s)! (Managed to get free delivery and 10% off - hurrah - thanks to MSE!)
LauraR - see friends are a nightmare in my opinion. I generally have very few people I would count as true friends, the rest are more acquaintances.. infact I will only be inviting three of my friends to our aftershow party (my CBMIIWHO, a friend who I adore but rarely see cause she lives about 200miles away, and a friend who I haven't seen for about a year and who I haven't really been in touch with much but she is still very dear to me). I think if I had to make a choice the third one would be cut - but I would be really upset by it. The rest of my 'friends' aren't being invited because our house isn't that big and our family is taking up most of the guest list. (Much to the annoyance I think of some of my work colleagues when I tell them). Not really helping much am I? I guess you could ask yourself - would I miss them if they weren't there?0 -
Hello everyone- wekk i survived day number 2 at work!! COuldnt wait to finish though as my mum had text me to say the bridesmaid dresses are here!! So rushed round after work and I really like them, luckily my older sister is coming round to mine after work so im going to get her opinion- part of the dress is silk to the light reflects and it looks nice and pink, but it has some chiffon and in some lights it looks more red so I need to have a look in proper daylight. My little sister tried it on and it did look lovely.
Laurar- I have done a rough guest list but have decided that as im not doing save the dates or anything I will reassess the list probably next jan and go through and I can see how my friendships with people are then!!0 -
I agree Emma, I was reading the thread about Save The Date cards - thinking I'm soooo glad that we didn't do them. I couldn't imagine trying to write our guest list when we booked the registry office!! I plan on finalising our guest lists Oct half term, so I can buy enough alcohol to cover all over 18s during the run up to Christmas. I will make the invites during the Christmas hols, and plan on posting them during Feb half term.0

im glad im not the only one who feels this way! a couple of them that will be coming are my mums friends becuase they are paying alot towards it and its only 3 couples.
i will be re-assesing probly at the end of the year. Logan will be 6months old and i have DS who will be 3 so i guess the true friends will show. children are a big thing i think when it comes to friendships with people who have no children. x0 -
Hello everyone!
Been off for a while because I have been stupidly busy at work this week, I don't think I've left much before half 6 any day this week. Flipping year 13 students panicking about coursework deadlines! Thank goodness it's the last day tomorrow!
We went to see our vicar last night; he's filled in the special license application form for us but then he told us he would be happy to let us marry in his church if we went just once a month - the last guy said he would want us to go every sunday! So we are thinking of going to church instead now so it'll save us the £250 for the special license. Only problem is I am not religious AT ALL so don't know how I am going to cope with it...
Whoever it was that asked, our vicar said that apparently you can go to church at any time to be able to get married there - as long as you went for long enough to get on the church roll. I can't help but feel a bit cheeky though!
Well done all for getting so much stuff sorted!
