BabyBoots - I'm not surprised you're feeling overwhelmed! I'm sure it will all work out in the end, and seeing your sister and niece will be something nice to focus on :)

It's a bit up and down here. OH's mum is back in hospital and worse. My sister (who I haven't seen in person for a year) and my little niece (who I've never seen in person, are flying in tomorrow to take up residence until the wedding - yay! :j

I've been feeling quite stressed at how much there is to do - studying, 37 tasks left on the wedding to do list, we may need more time out visiting OH's mum in the next few weeks, and it seems uncertain if I'll have a job to come back to after the honeymoon. It sounds like there could be a few different opportunities, but no actual offers on the table. I'm trying not to worry about it yet, but feeling a bit overwhelmed.

On the plus side I finally happened on a good idea for wedding favours, and one DIY decorating idea that OH thinks is a bit expensive/timewasting, but I'd like to do if I get the time.:)

Thinking of you and all the extra stress of having a poorly family member. Seeing your sister and niece will be special leading up to the wedding. Will she help out? Is she keen to get crafty with you?

well done on being the first to say it!

OMG - where has the time gone. Its 7 more Fridays for me after today and i am proper excited. :j:j

Sorry to hear about the car Natalie but am i wrong in thinking that you are legally able to drive without tax for 7 days after its expired?? You definetly can drive the car without an MOT if you can prove that you have it put it through before its expiration date and you have booked in for the work. Its sound like you have a lot to do though over half term you probably won't have time to drive anywhere!

    Hello girls,

Thanks for the support - i'm feeling a bit better today. OH's mum is still in hospital but seems to be doing ok. I've just spent three hours scanning in old kiddy photos of me and my sis to make her bridesmaid present. 3 hours! I'm only halfway through the pile of photos and I still have more too sort out. This might be a big album! Enough scanning for now, i'll do some more tomorrow.

I talked to my florist today - I am happy I picked her - she comes across and very capable. I've changed my mind a lot about what I want since i first saw her in February, as i didn't have the bridesmaids dresses or mens suits sorted then. She's going to make some suggestions for the table centres and re-quote, but it won't go up by much, and i had budgeted for maybe picking something more expensive than the first quote.

My sis still hasn't arrived yet - stuck in bank holiday traffic no doubt. Will have to see if she gets here before OH gets back from work.

PinkPrincess - I'm sure a bit of banoffee will do no harm! Happy weekend everyone!

    Good luck tomorrow Mel x

Well I have just made the first of four cheesecakes for our wedding. :) It does look amazing!! They are going to be 5cm squares - and for those who have passed judgement about them being small (not you guys - other posters on here) they are going to be around 7cm deep - gobble gobble gobble. I am so looking forward to the day after when all I will be eating is left over cheesecake!! :D (We've got 45 including us coming, but to balance the cake stand I'm making 64 individual cakes). So far our wedding cake has cost £58.18. :T And that is including £19.94 for the cake stand (£38.24 on ingredients). All I need is one more pot of single cream (annoyed one had burst over EVERYTHING in my asda delivery so I'm a pot down), and some fresh strawberries a few days before the party to top them with on the day :D YUM! :D (Will take a photo tomorrow to show you all)

Photo as promised... doesn't it look good!! Well the freezer is already starting to look choc ha!! The plan is freeze them all in pots nicely separated from each other, then when they are frozen put them into freezer bags to reduce their volume. Then when they come out they will be separated again to defrost. Sounds good huh? MrD's first comment was 'cor they're big' - but I can't decide if he thought it was a good thing or not! Ha!! They all came out perfectly apart from two whose bases are a little bit wobbly - but that's not a problem they can just go on the back of the cake stand. :D Soooo pleased with them.
Anyway I'll shut up and let you enjoy:
