I'm going to go for a 2nd dress too - i like both of those!

I've got a pretty big dress and we're having a ceilidh (Scottish/barn) dance in the evening, and I can barely walk in my dress, let alone dance!

My diet's also going badly - went out for a big meal with my friend last night amongst other things.

My dress is pretty easy to move about it, I'm very thankful for that! :)

    Love the c!il! idea :)

*ceili - must be the fadas that don't come out!

I'm thinking of not bothering with favours, am I a bad person?

BAD, BAD person!!:rotfl: Not at all. Thats what i love about weddings, everyone is different, unique in there own way. There is no hard and fast rules. I really don't want a first dance so i'm trying to convince H2B that we don't have to have one.

Measure yourself for inspiration and another spur on. I am very envious of your determination and stamina at continuing with the weight loss and training. I am really struggling and its getting me down so i'm kind of ignoring the fact i'm going to be a fat bride.

The more i think about how much i have to lose the more i sabotage myself and eat badly. Its my first fitting on Saturday and i have resigned to the fact that buying a sample dress 2 sizes too small was a big ask and i have only managed to lose a stone since i brought it so i will need at least a 1 inch panel. (this is an estimate as its missing the modesty panel so i have nothing to gauge it on!)

Can't wait for tomorrow when we can all say . . . . . 'getting married next month' :T

p.s. losing 1st is absolutely amazing Mel, and I'm sure you will look fab :) I know it's easy to say that, but you have come a long way (and done better than me!). What bits are you most self-conscious about? When did you last try the dress on? Thanks for the reassurance about favours, I just don't have time to do homemade stuff, my own fault :o

I know i am 'of large frame' but i am concerned about back fat and bingo wings. (I'm 41 so losing tone in my arms :o) I am hoping to have a bolero made out the tulle thats been removed from the dress to cover my arms and back. It will be see thru though but at least i'll feel a little covered. I last tried the dress on at Easter and i have lost and put on the same 3lb ever since then.

My arms aren't that toned either! :o Boleros are great and def do cover you up. :) I so wish that my dress had sleeves and am considering having the DM make a little shawl out of the leftover lace from taking up my dress (if there's enough)! Oh and my weight won't budge either atm - so frustrating, I know. Hugs xxx

Is anyone else having a second dress? I'm not - no way will I want to take mine off :D but it's different from Natalie as she is having 2 occasions to wear it so a second dress for the first evening is a fab idea :)

I'm having a second dress, but our wedding day is a bit different to the usual. As ceremony is at 9:30am and meal is at 1pm, we will probably be leaving the pub by 5 at the latest, and I don't want to keep my wedding dress on all night! Will be going back to the hotel and having a chill out and then dinner later in the evening so going to get a white or ivory or cream dress to put on for the meal. Still want to look brideish but not have my dress on iykwim.

ETA that debenhams dress is lovely. might get that if my ebay efforts remain fruitless!

Mel- I cant wait to be able to say 'we are getting married next month! :j and  and :D all at the same time!!

Mel- youve done fab with your weightloss so I would see how your fitting goes. Im trying to concentrate on toning my bottom half and just keeping my arms as they are at the mo.

I dropped my buttons in today to the dressmaker, my friend was right about the dress maker, she described her as scatty, which she is!!

Wanchai- Im not having favours. I decided to use the money for my sweetie table instead!:D
