Hold on and I'll see if I can find my 'how to guide' I think I've written before.

Okay - so I didn't write a step by step guide - not for these anyway.

For each heart I used: (all strips are 2.5cm wide)
1 strip of black card 17cm long
2 strips of burgundy card 29cm long
2 strips of white card 25cm long
2 strips of burgundy card 22cm long
2 strips of white card 19.5cm long

You create 1 pile of each burgundy and white strips so one end meets up.
Do the same with the rest of the burgundy and white strips.
Place both piles either side of the black card with the longest strip closest to the black strip, and with the 'neat' ends about half way up the card and staple

Then gather the 'messy' ends of the two piles and line them up.
    5606192441_97c439a831_m.jpg
Then bend them backwards to make the heart shape and staple to the end of the black strip.
    5606192447_9a584c7278_m.jpg
I used a hole punch to create the hole.

The longer your strips are compared to the middle one the wider your heart will be. I just played around until I had the over all heart shape I liked.

For 44 hearts I bought which cost £11.38
22 A4 sheets of burgundy card
    19 A4 sheets of white
    4 A4 sheets of black
But using this you do get some slippage and with the left over card from the invites I managed to get enough strips for 56 hearts.
If I'd paid for someone on etsy to make them using 'Shakespeare' books it would have cost me approximately £100 for the same number!!

    Hey everyone.

Natalie- those letters looks fab, as do the hearts.

Well I dragged my little sister into town today, just to look for shoes and see what they had! I had liked these one:
    http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10001_10001_053010635485_-1?breadcrumb=Home~txtivory+shoes
But they were a bit tight, and they were quite a dark ivory, then she tried these ones one (which she tried on a few months ago but wasnt quite a 6 then) and she really liked them

So I decided to get them, but as I was paying noticed a mark on the back, well after looking they didnt have anymore, and couldnt order any, so they knocked another 20% off so I got them for £12.80! The mark will be able to rubbed off, and its on the back so no one will even notice it- bargain me thinks!!:D

Also, I ordered a pair of shoes for flowergirl, hopefully they will fit got 2 sizes), picked them up from my mums and they are so sweet, these ones:

I havent been in the sun much, im paranoid Im going to get tan marks! I plan on wearing a boob tube tomorrow and will try and just get a bit of sun!!

What everyone else got palnned for the rest of the weekend?

Thanks Natalie. They were the nicest flats I could find for my little sister, especially as she has wide feet and cant bear any slight seam or anything sticking out, as as shes taller than me already at the age of 12 theres no way she was having heels!!:rotfl:

Emma- fab shoes!!! :) Good luck with the tanning tomorrow xx

I got burnt on my back - how the heck did that happen??? I was under a tree with factor 20 on!!! Now sitting here with a wet towel on my back. Ow.

Makeup trial didn't go great. She totally overdid my makeup and I hated it. Ths eyshadow especially - it was just OTT. I said that it wasn't right and she redid it, but... I'm just not sure. She used Clinique base, which I don't think is great, and it's already looking a bit shiny. She had no MAC or Bobbi Brown foundations at all. Feel like I've been misled tbh. Not sure what to do :(:(:(

Very impressed with the tanning. I don't think I'm brave enough to ever try it!

Wanchai - that's such a shame about your make up trial. Can you cancel? Have another trial for free? Have you paid already? Did you have pictures for inspiration or anything? I'll admit makeup is one aspect of the day I am really not looking forward to at all!

Today was a good weddingy day for me. I went to bravissimo in the morning and got my wedding underwear, then went for a final fitting with my dressmaker and it was all perfect so I have my dress at home now. It's such a difference to have it actually fit. I love it now. Its a lot better now the length has been shortened too, much easier to walk in.

Did I mention I got my shoes? After all that drama. I don't love them, but they are comfortable and will do the job just fine. I got the marks and spencer bridal peep toe ones. (5.5! chunky heel! Elastic strap!)

I did have pics for inspiration, and described what i wanted quite clearly. I was told when I booked that she used all the top brands - well, she arrived with a case full of Revlon, 17, L'Oreal, Maybelline etc!!! I am no makeup snob, but I know that the better brands are better quality. I'm disgusted at the thought of paying good money for her. And my face felt all hot and nasty afterwards, not sure if it was the product or her brushes! Grrr.

I would be willing to have another trial, but I'm so so disappointed. I'm not sure if I trust her to get it right. My foundation looks awful, and my eyeshadow is horrendous! :(

Ooh, let's have a pic of your shoes! And well done on the undies and (best of all) getting your dress home!!!! How exciting! :D
