Hello all... haven't been on here for ages (too hard to keep up!) but hope the planning's going well!

    39 more days for me!

Got so many bits and bobs to do e.g. favours (something cheap DIY ish), decorations (DIY), presents things like that.

Also got a good 5kg/half a stone to lose yet, agghhh!

Welcome back!! And never worry about 'catching up' :) just jump straight in and chat away. :) I think that is what is great about us - it doesn't matter if you chat regularly (not that I'm guilty of that you understand ha) or if you drop in every now and then we're always here to help!

:) What sort of decorations are you after?

We collected our 'authority to marry' certificate(s? They were in a sealed envelope!) today. Got a lovely photo of Mr G outside the register office grinning like a loon holding up the envelope. Now we just have to remember to post them to the register office we're doing the legal bit at.
I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

    Evening girls,

It's been a while, was a little teary last night, but feeling better. Felt like I was losing the will with the wedding, but feel happier now I have booked a consultation with the hair and makeup.

I have a little quandry, and like your advice, would it be acceptable to attend two trials in one day - the problem being is that I live in Buckinghamshire, and my wedding is on the Isle of Wight, and I can't afford too much time off work at the moment as assessment boards are coming up, so can't make it down to the island too often.

Should be calling the photographer this evening, I'm feeling guilty that I've not spoken to him since my last email in November!

Ok- so before I start panicking- what is the authority to marry?? I cant remember getting this!!

:j 2 months today. I got some nice gift bags today for the gifts, so apart from needing to order some flowers for our mums gifts are pretty much done. We havent decided yet if we will get our step dads anything, I would like to, but I think if we do they may not be given with the other presents (we dont want to upset our real dads, well oh more than me!)

Michelle- when you say 2 trials do you mean like 2 make up trials with 2 different people, or do you mean a hair trial and a make up trial??

    Hi Emma,

    I should have said 2x hair & makeup with 2 different salons/people

Just spoken with photographer, got another £100 knocked off, so paying £300 for photos instead of £450 (he'd already given a £50 discount when I enquired).

Michelle - yay to more discount!! I think 2 trials on the same day is ok. When your not marrying local it can't be helped. They must do it abroad all the time.

I hope your enjoying your evening off Natalie. Well deserved

We have finally done our seating plan!! H2B had been a avoiding it as when we talk about it we always disagree. So whilst he's in his excited wedding state I took advantage!! Haha. So another job to add to my list, design a seating plan.

Scared too . . . What's an authority to marry? Do I need this? I'm kinda hoping it's because perhaps your marrying somewhere other than the register office?
